Nintendo has a history of doing things their own way, they have had their share of hits and misses. Nintendo is still around, when other companies have folded. But now, they are trying to win the gaming public with the wii and ds. Despite the success of both the wii and the ds, they still haven't got full support of the third party companies. You would think that most third party developers would support Nintendo more......
i want a star fox game that is part rails and part free roaming. i would like for starfox to fight andross again, but at the same time i would like for him to fight a different enemy. there should be a special stage in which starfox would fight in the star wars galaxy. let him fight darth vader in his ship and take on the death star. anything is possible, look at soul caliber 4. i think if lucasarts and nintendo were to work together on this, i think it would nicely.:D
so far, nintendo has done well, the wii is popular right now, but still some of the big third party franchises are still with sony, games like metal gear solid, the tekken and ridge racer series, final fantasy from square enix, etc. if nintendo were to dominate, they would have these franchises as well. Only monster hunter3 and fatal frame have made the exclusive jump to nintendo. if sony were to lose these big name franchises, they would lose the game war period.
i think it would be better if sonic were exclusive to nintendo by sega. sonic is a sega icon and it should be made by sega. if sega and nintendo were to have a partnership to make this happen, so be it as long as sega develops the game, not nintendo. i think that most of sega's games are more better suited for nintendo than ps3 or 360.:D
as far as their next console is concerned, nintendo is doing their own thing. they will figure a way on what to do on their next gen system. the question is what is going to be like? we may never know for sure. i'm more worried about this gen, for now. i'm waiting to see what kind of games are still to be made or released for the wii. you would think that nintendo would have most of the big name third party publishers bringing their "big" properties to the wii too, but it hasn't happened yet. if nintendo is going to number one again, they have to at least try to have more "big" properties from konami, namco, and square, etc.
nintendo has NST and they were working on a game for the wii, but it was cancelled. I haven't heard anything at all from what project they are working on now. I wish they would make something for the wii, something different.
