@loveblanket: I'm pretty much with you too. I got 76 on sale for $15 and knew it was gonna be bad. Everytime I play it I feel dirty/weird (which hasn't been in months as I got bored).
It's definitely my most regretted purchase. And I bought Homefront The Revolution for $10.
I'm treating Breakpoint exactly like I did with Wildlands: Give it a year or more for the team to fix and balance everything, where at that point the game will be 10 times better and half the price. It's a win-win if you don't mind waiting, just play other games.
@thelostscribe: You're definitely a kinder soul. Nearly everyone sees this as a massively tone deaf plea for money while simultaneously ruining the prestige of the IP
"There is nothing cool about taking another human's life," Meyer said.
I don't know. Killing Nazis in Wolfenstein is pretty cool. Hell, it was cool to kill them in real life, they're monsters.
I get what he's saying but he's a soldier that doesn't intrinsically understand video game violence and why it's fun to kill. It's fun to kill ships in Galaga. It's fun to eliminate ghosts in Pac Man. People like killing because it's a challenge and it's rewarding, even more so if you're a good guy taking out murderous people who intend to kill thousands/millions.
He's an insider AND outsider here. He's seen real war scenarios, but he doesn't get the culture outside of your most LCD pedestrian casual playing CoD. There, he has a point. CoD players are some of the douchiest douchebags in the world, especially the kids.
