@Curzad: Proteus is boring by default. But I don't play it for excitement. I return to it to relax. NMS is the same just amplified. This game is about escaping and exploring. It's about smoking a bowl and simulating a deep space experience for an hour or two at a time, but for years. Many people play games, get 100% trophies or achievements and move on. This game is about infiniteness. The ability to travel limitlessly in short stints. To appreciate the color, the vastness, the progress.

The most pure fun I've had with a game all year.

This game is obviously for VR. Either Murray is intentionally leading people on and never planned to incorporate VR, or he is simply unable to disclose via signing an NDA. I don't think Sean is that much of a dick to do the former, he seems like the nicest guy.

Ummm so wtf is Fallout 4? Pretty sure Bethesda reused a shitload of assets from Fallout 3, yet it gets GOTY. At least it makes sense with Ubisoft using 2014 assets from Far Cry 4--it's recent. Bethesda made a 2015 game with 2008 assets.

As an architecture student, I'm all over this. I can put on the headset, start to model, and see my 3D model sitting right on my desk. Awesome.

As a gamer, this looks like pure gimmicky trash. I will never understand the amount of pure negligence these companies have regarding spatial parameters like walls, floors, furniture, etc. We all have VERY different residences. How the tech responds correctly to each individual's personal set up is beyond me. Moreover, do people really want to see character models jump on and off their couches? Do you really wanna see Master Chief dive into your fridge and explode? I guess some do, but to me it is absolutely 100% immersion breaking for me, and just screams gimmick.

Seriously, we play games to get lost in another world. We wanted more, so VR is on the way, FURTHER removing us from our world and into the worlds of their creators. I don't want the game running around my stupid apartment like a wasp that won't fly out of the window. I want to dive into a fully immersive world or outer space.

Lastly, remember when Google Glass came out in 2014? Oh that's right, it didn't. Google saw the writings on the wall: too costly, too invasive into private life, too impractical for daily use. Sound familiar?

I can see myself thrilled about this device if I got a job at an architecture firm and was issued one. Other than that, I couldn't care less.

Is it just me or am I the only one that has completely run out of things to do in the Wasteland? I'm level 55 and there's is nothing new to discover at all, just respawns of ghouls and raiders x infinity.

It really doesn't make sense to include all these mods and customization for a game with zero replay value. I think I've murdered every single person in Boston. There's nothing to do. Only bought the season pass for far harbor. I'm sure I'll regret it as it'll probably be "build meaningless settlements, brainlessly kill kill kill kill kill, no redeeming story or lore"

AR sucks for games. Get used to it. I personally don't mind it. Actually I think it has amazing potential for all things not-games. But game wise it's a flop.

As an architecture graduate student, I see millions of different room layouts and most people have small living rooms. The demos are great but 1% of people have large broad rooms to facilitate AR properly.

It's coffee table AR or problems persist. That's not a bad thing exactly. But I ask everyone to look at their interior. Is it small? Do you think you can run around your living room, tethered no less?

VR is the small square footage solution. Especially on the couch where most of our fat asses reside on a daily basis.

Let me sit, hold a controller, pop on a headset, and explore. That concept works.

But unless you have a 20x20 room this ambitious AR is DOA
