if a game crashes so often, that you can't play it .. then don't score it, till you can play it (till you either turn down the PC settings or take out some of the mods or get a better PC..)

on consoles, games can crash.. but almost never so much, that they are unplayable.. and if so, then they should not be scored, till they are playble

its a new franchise, it was fresh, so I can see the 9/10 for D1... but they did build up well on the franchise with D2 ..and made the most complex levels and possibly the most approach possibilities of any game so far..., it's meeting my expectations so far..(+ you have the fresh Domino effect from Emily)

Deus Ex gameplay almost pales compared to D2 (and DE:MD was good and at least a solid 8/10... if you're a stealth fan more like 9/10, when playing "ghost")..

Gamespot has been giving lower scores lately. I can understand them trying to be more critical, since others go over the top fast with scores when hyped.. but D2 really is one of the best game of the year, and that's not a 8/10

1st what do you care, what I think? ...

2nd I love games, and feel biased scores from reviewers when they give good games lower scores or bad game high scores, making me upset, cause it has influence on the readers and on the metascores

3rd Dishonored 2 is, like DS3 and some other games one of the best of the year (if not rushed thru like an action game) and gets the same as Mafia III??

Dishonored 2 has some of the best gameplay and level architectures of any game of 2016..., and is by far better than Mafia III.. but its doenst have the same cut-scenes like a Mafia or TW3... so it only gets 8/10...

do openworld games need such cut-scenes to get 9/10 or 10/10s?..., if even Mafia III can get a 8/10 with crap gameplay but good cut-scenes

the first levels are harder and more complex than D1..., if you play it again 100% stealth and non-leathal on the highest setting (played D1 also on the highest, and D2 starts of harder on the highest)....

dunno about the later levels and dunno what setting or gamestyle the reviewer used.. possibly if you go for the "kill them" style, Emily might be a bit overpowered with her Domino effect.. but when playing stealth /non lethal, dont see the later levels easier..

rent or borrow the game and try to finish chapter 2 (the first chapter where you have a heart and can search for runes/artefacts), try to finish it on the hardest setting, non lethal with Corvo while getting the runes..., youll soon see how it compares to D1's 2nd chapter..

and go stealth/non-lethal, with Corvo... (for fast kills and escapes, Emily seems to be better, but for pure stealth Corvo... even if both characters can be played both ways)..

I'm going for the 1st run with Corvo and the "ghost" achievement and non-lethal.., for a 2nd speed run with Emily (where I speed thru and hunt down the last paintings and other collectables)

yep, there were moments of low FPS on some complex outdoor areas... but not the majority of the game.. its still overall fluid..

(maybe time to upgrade to PS4Pro? xD...)

you mean rushing thru it on easy, which is death for a stealth game... , no wonder it "only" got 8/10
