Is not that the XMB is complicated, is just that we have used the 360 dashboard for more than a year... when I started using my PS3 I tought the XMB was more complicated, but beacuse I was searching for the BASIC features that I tought it would have (like a custom XMB wallpaper) and since they dont exis I tough it was so hard to find them. now Im not a 360 fanboy, I bought my PS3 a couple of days ago and even tough there arent many games on it right now Im loving it, and Im looking forward to the future of the console. But I have to admit that the XMB (compared to the 360 dashboard) still needs A LOT of improvement.

Agreed.

IMO, the XMB has a long way to go before matching the x360's dashboard. At least give me the option to customize the background.

we are talking about design of the user interface, not the options of the OS.

wallpapers is such a trivial thing, it's not like it make any diffrence as well.

That's some funny read, read one of the related articles.

" Graphics were crisp and sharply detailed; reflections on the car windows of the immensely popular Ridge Racer V were so realistic it was kind of surreal -- watching the replay was like viewing real racing on a state of the art TV with exceptionally good reception. I even found games created for the original PlayStation, like Metal Gear Solid, showed subtle signs of graphic improvement when loaded up into the new backward-compatible machine."

haha, that's kind of funny.

[QUOTE="Redfingers"]

Eggebrecht says in the latest IGN video on their homepage:

"The very basic fact is that you can't do this engine completely as you see it there on any other system than the PS3. We've got so much physics running, we've got so many animations running, we've got levels with 25,000 soldiers in there. But we've got to simulate the army combat, which is going on on the ground, we've got all of these dragons being animated, of course. So, to pull off this world scale, where basically you can go from the macro 20,000 feet level in utter detail to, basically, character mode detail, I think that it would have been absolutely impossible on any other platform, let alone the previous generation."

He goes on to say it will support 1080p in full uncompressed 7.1 and that it should give Playstation 3 owners an idea of why they invested in the system. Refreshing gameplay, he says, full utilization of the Sixaxis, and clearly full technological implementation.

The Lair developers, sound like if what they say are Sony sponsored. I think they are the only developer that go full out saying the PS3 is the best and that's it. gnutux

factor 5 isen't first party. They could pretty much do a Wii game next when they're done with Lair. There's no reason to lie.
