Why has no company made avatar the last airbender into a serious fighting game?
Seriously?
Naruto and bleach were. i thik that Cyberconnect2 or Midway, or the makers of tenkaichi could turn avatar into a really good fighting game! I would love to play as zuko or aang and go through story mode with missions, sidequest, and other stuff that's part of the story. then have online play. could be like naruto ya know???
is this a bad idea or what???
Achievements are to be just fun side things that a few want to do. I don't care about them most of the time but it feels nice to have a nod from the game makers that you did something. They are a hand shack and not a prize giving moment. I bet some would hate the achievements if they get point or the live money. I do not play game death-matches so do I need to play them to get money? Or should they remove the MP achievements?maybe maybe not but the point here is more incentive and motivation to watch tv, or go to the movies.
Do you want movie theater to give free popcorn movies?
Or TV shows to give you money to watch?wiouds
if that was true like i was saying, then would achievements be existent if MS felt that gamers needed to be motivated to play their game? It was up to MS to decide to bring points to the table and thus they did as i stated before. and even if this is "no fun" MS still benefits from my idea. think about it. MS is getting more money by ppl buying games, renting games for my avatar clothing idea. why do they care if we have fun or notWhy is it that gamers today always need some sort of reward? Back in the day I remember beating Super Mario Bros. and what did I get? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! And guess what? I was fine with it because I played the game to play the game. It's not about the end/reward it's about the journey you have while playing the game. If someone plays a game just to get an achievement/avatar clothing, etc then it doesn't sound like they're actually playing anything, but rather working. Never should a gamer ask, "Well, what do I get for playing?" they should ask, "Will I have fun?"

i completely agree with you. there should be some time of incentive to get achievements. ppl are starting to wake up now and go "why the hell am i doing this?"Now that I think about it even more, getting 100 points for every 1000GS isn't such a bad idea. Think about it. Let's say you want that Map Pack that's 800 points. You essentially have to buy 8 games just to get those MP. That's a lot of money you are spending on Microsoft products. Even glitchers will have to spend that money. Basically, what's a "free" 10 dollar bonus to someone when they have had to buy 8 games just to get the damned points, even if they glitched to get them. Also, I doubt people will have the patience to play and beat 8 games just to get their "free" map pack. Most people will just say screw it and buy the points anyway. Either way, MS gets money. I don't know if they still do it, but Microsoft had those Search Live games where you played games, earned points, and traded them in for games and such. There were glitchers on there and they found a way to stop them. Why can't they do it for 360 users?
Not saying this plan is flawless. Sure there will be glitchers and even people that rent games, but what's 100 points to Microsoft when in most cases you are paying 60 bucks to play it? Achievements are worth nothing right now. At least give people the incentive to buy a game and get the achievements.
I also have no problems if you want to dissect my argument, but just keep it civil :P

I think in-game rewards would be awesome, I'm really surprised to see that no one has really implemented that yet. I like achievements though because it gives me a reason to go back and play the game again.Kaos39i see what u mean but a lil more motivation wont hurt
[QUOTE="nethernova"][QUOTE="yokofox33"]No, you shouldn't be rewarded for buying games. Who gave you that idea? You buy them to play them and to have fun and not to get something in exchange. And if that's not enough for you then you should consider switching your hobby. If you could get MS points for achievements, people would glitch and cheat the hell out of that possibility. It's already bad enough to meet people online who ruin games because they need certain achievements. Imagine the horror if those were actually worth something.Agreed. I would be interested in achievements then. Even something as small as getting all 1000 gamer points in a game nets you 200 Microsoft points would garner a lot of attention I think. We should be rewarded for buying games, taking the time and effort to get all 1000 points, and supporting the console. I would definitely take the time to go back and get all achievement points if it meant free Microsoft points.

Well, you are right about glitchers. I didn't even think about that. And you're right, we shouldn't be rewarded for buying the games, but I still think it would be cool if we got something, no matter how small, for accomplishing everything in a game. If there's a better way to do that, then by all means let's do that. The reason I have no interest in achievements is because they are worth abolsutely nothing. What's the real point of them? To show off how awesome you are at a game? I don't know. I admit I worded that horribly and typed without thinking.
Also, I have plenty of hobbies.:P
i agree with you. MS needs motivation to achievements. THERE'S NO VALUE MICROSOFT! FIX IT! i mean who gives a F if you have 10, 100, 10,000 achievement points. no one gives a F! they hold no value. maybe if we have a certain amount of achievemnts, we cud get a discount on a few select items on Live or soemthing[QUOTE="yokofox33"][QUOTE="Darkslayer16"]I wish they would have something like 10000 GS gives you 1000 microsoft points or something.nethernova

It's already bad enough to meet people online who ruin games because they need certain achievements. Imagine the horror if those were actually worth something. if we shouldn't be rewarded for buying games then the idea for achievements would be non-existant, WII points would be non-existant, and so would trophies for the PS3. companies do that to intise you to buy their games so thus a point system was born. and yea i realize about the MS points but what about my avatar idea? isn't that better then just getting achievements then shoving them up your ass? or would u have more motivation if it went to unlocking clothes for your avatar???[QUOTE="nocturnalkisses"] well what about my avatar idea then????spazzx625I think it would have to be up to developers to do it for their own games. For example, The Maw has 2 unlockable avatars and even an unlockable premium theme for playing. Kingdom For Keflings has avatars too. Moving that mentality to all games would be great yea i know rite! it would give u more motivation for ahcievements! i wud like to dress my avie up like Altair, Niko, Spartan, Marcus Pheonix, or Isaac from dead space
