I may as well tell you now; most people are going to suggest a C2D E8400 or E8500 processor.

Haha, the optical drive I had picked out just happened to be IDE. xD I guess I'll be changing that.
And yeah, I was planning on getting 3 sticks of RAM. Glad to see that it works well. =)
I'm going to be piecing together my new computer bit by bit, seeing as it's cheaper, however before I start buying the parts, I want to make sure they all go together smoothly.
I do a lot of graphics work, mainly with Photoshop and Flash, but I'd also like to be able to play certain games (Fallout 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Sims, Left 4 Dead) without any hiccups or problems.
So, here are the parts:
Case
CPU: Quad Core Q6600
Vid Card: XFX GeForce 9800 GT
MoBo: Asus P5Q-E
PSU: ULTRA 550W
HD: Seagate 500GB
RAM: Corsair Value Select 1GB PC5400 (x3)
I don't think the Optical Drive and OS are that big of a deal to warrant a link, so yeah.
My main concerns are the RAM and the MoBo... If anyone has any suggestions for those replacements feel free to throw them at me. Also, if somebody would be kind enough to explain the difference between PC5400, PC4200, and PC6400, then i would be very grateful. =) And will the PSU be enough for all this? As for cooling, I'm thinking this thing should suffice. I like the fact that it comes with fan controls and settings. Anyways, any input is appreciated!
Hmm, seems your right. I was a bit sketchy about the 550W
I just checked reviews for the one that comes with it, and it seems to be a decent PSU. So I guess the OCZ is out. Other than that, does it look a good setup?
Alright, I am building a new computer piece by piece, since I can't afford it any other way, and before I start purchasing things that may not necessarily work together, I would like to get a second opinion. I'm fairly confident I did a decent job, but I'm not completely sure about that hard-drive, and if it's even compatible with the mobo.
Anyways, this is what I've got, and any help I can get is appreciated.

I bought my PS2 in Canada. I want to watch a dvd from the UK... will this be possible? Or is there going to be a compatibility issue?
Thanks in advance. If no, does anyone know of dvd players in Canada/North America that can play dvds from Europe?
