This isnt actually surprising. Crash Bandicoot every man and his dog played that here in NZ, when it was released. like EVERYONE and we are a huge nostalgia country.
Here's hundreds of pages of people trying to sell their OLD sega consoles, now you dont have to wait. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_ipg=200&_nkw=sega%20genesis&_dcat=139971&rt=nc&Model=Genesis%2520%252D%2520Original
@dlCHIEF58: Right....you just SAID it, actors are CONTRACTED to the movie, so they don't have a say. Well MUSIC and car licenses etc should also be CONTRACTED to a game. No difference. No difference at all, in any way to an actor being contracted to a movie...no DIFFERENCE. The only difference is for whatever reason, music gets away with it. You seem very anti consumer, really.
@dlCHIEF58: I think youve missed the point , its very simple what im trying to say. A bunch of licenses for cars in TOCA 3, have expired, so the GAME literally can not be sold anymore on STEAM. That's not cool. I vote for a game and EVERYTHING in that game that is used, music, cars , EVERYTHING, to be one product , for all eternity. They shouldnt be separate, so it can be sold, for however long the developer wants to sell it for. It's silly that the music in a game, has a license that expires. that's like a movie soundtrack with a bunch of songs in it, expiring. Its stupid. Its not ignorance. its a STUPID law. What if actors could do it? What if actors in Lord Of The Rings, like Elijah Woods, decided FCK it, you can ONLY use my likeness for 2 years in a Lord Of The Rings movie? be pretty stupid ay? It would mean Lord Of The rings, would not be able to be sold ANYWHERE, if the license was up.
@Yams1980: Yeah i didnt even bother purchasing it and bought Torchlight 2 and Titan Quest has a pretty massive dose of content and looks more realistic to, instead, no offline, was a no go for me. I was still a bit gutted with the artstyle they went for also.
@dlCHIEF58: whatever, the GAME cant be sold anymore, really good games, because of a license bullsht agreement. And yeah i believe if YOU agreed to have YOUR car or YOUR music in a game, it should be ONE product, forever. The game and the music and the stuff, IN the game, should be one thing, 1 complete product. It's the consumers losing out. Especially considering most of the cars in TOCA 3, for example from 2006, arent even MADE anymore, its 2017. But the game itself? still holds up today and is still a great game. That no one can purchase because of car licenses, that are not being made anymore. Most of the music in Tony Hawk's original game, isnt barely even being listened to anymore. Music especially, just goes with the times. Do you sit down and listen to Dean Martin anymore? Or Marilyn Munroe? no. I doubt it and shes dead.
