well what does everybody think about the new gifts? what does everyone want. is sakua samurai any good?chenzo22
Personally, I'm very happy. I barely made it to Gold status and was worried I would be stuck with a calender but the free games opened up my options. I chose the Zelda game. It was on my list but my money always seemed to go towards other games.

Managed to get Gold status, trying to decide if Sakura Samurai is worth it or if I should just go for the calendar.

Go get Sakurai Samurai! I've heard it compared to Punch Out in that you have to time your hits to fell an enemy. You can't go in button smashing. You have to be patient and observe your opponent's move before striking. There are a variety of opponents, each with their own moves. The boss battles are very difficult. I've personally enjoyed the game and I was addicted to it for quite a while.

The ones you are planning to get are all goood games (not heard of Contact though). Civ Revolution DS is pretty good especially for a game on the go. I've lost a lot of sleep over that game! Okamiden is a great game! The artwork is lovely and I like how the heavenly creatures are a bay version of the main game. The story is very good and there were quite a few funny moments. Gameplay is pretty much the same. Some more recommendation: -Golden Sun: Dark Dawn~ This was my first foray into the series but the game did an excellent job of catching you up on what happened previously. It has a pokemon aspect to it in that you are collecting these creatures that give you abilities depending on which you are using at the moment. The story is epic and the grpahics were quite good for a DS game. -Knights in the Nighmare~ It is a weird shooter type rpg. The tutorial is long (about an hour) but if you can get passed that, the game is surprisingly deep, engaging, and fun. -Puzzle Quest~ a hybrid puzzle rpg game. Very addictive! (don't bother with Puzzle Quest 2 though).

If we look at it from a 1st person rpg game then you might want to take a look at Etrian Oddyssey which has the same perspective. If looking at the game from a monster collecting aspect and using them to fight, 2 games share that aspect: 1. Pokemon 2. Dragon Quest 3. Monster Rancher

If you haven't played the DS version, I would get Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor Overclocked. I persoanlly think it is better than Tales of Abyss. You only have 7 days (although the 3DS version has an 8th day) to save Tokyo from annhilation. Throughout your Journey, you'll be collecting demons and fusing them to get even more powerful demons to fight for you. You'll meet others like you who can control demons and they may or may not be friendly. You'll fight demons and their bosses who have managed to manifest on Earth.

Knights in the Nightmare- It is a weird hybrid shooter strategy rpg. The artwork is gorgeous and gameplay is deep. The only setback is the learning curb. There is a tutorial you go through but it is loooong (mispelled for effect). Strange Journey- a SMT title, I liked it more than Devil Survivor. The story has an awesome sci-fi feel to it. Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass- OK, there is a debate whether Zelda games are rpgs but the fact remains that it at least has a similar feel. The only caveat is if you hated Majora's Mask (Never played it myself), you will likely not like this one also since you are racing against the clock when going through a certain dungeon multiple times. Golden Sun Dark Dawn- Personally, I think this is one of the best rpgs on the DS. You don't need to have completed the 2 prequels before it since it is a new cast of characters. It has a lot of humor but it doesn't overwhelm the seriousness that the game portrays. They updated the graphics for the DS and since it was a title late in the DS's life, the graphics are top notch. Blue Dragon 2- I thought the game was OK. The neat thing about this game is that it is a real time strategy rpg. Dragon Quest IV, V, VI, and IX- It's Dragon Quest..nuff said!

Yes, why are we not allowed to talk about it? AR is not like an R4 or similar devices. It is just allows you to basically cheat at a game.

Games you might to take a look into: 1. Resident Evil Revelations is a no brainer. I consider it a must have for 3DS owners 2. Kid Icarus 3. Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor

It is possible that some may have very loose hinges but I think the majority of the complaints are more due to subjective perception. I think if you present the same 3DS to 2 people, one may perceive the hinges to be too loose while the other feel it is not so loose. There are several ways to tighten the hinges if it bothers you. One is to trade it for another, another is to send it in to Nintendo to fix, and the 3rd is to get a crystal case which when put on will tighten the hinges.
