I Have G-mail

Okay, I know everyone and their mother has probably been sent an invite, but I now have G-mail, and I feel cool finally. I mean, I'm probably still a loser, but I feel more cool than I use to because not only do I have a gig of free space to store my mail (which no one will ever send me enough mail to clog that) but I have Gmail.

You may now sing my praise and beg for an invite or you can tell me how much of a loser I am because you've had it for a year now.

Oh, I have nothing else of relevance to say. Goodbye. Talk to y'all Monday probably!

ps - Did you know that "g-m-a-i-l" is a banned word? That bloody sucks a huge one. I bet that's not banned.

New review... Enter The Matrix (GC)

I went to trivia night last night and my team lost. We could'nt freakin' remember the four ghosts' names in Pac-Man. Morons.

Not much else happening.

Oh, and the title of this entry is something I heard someone say as we left trivia night. It happened to be an old man.

Peace.

New review...Marvel Superheroes: War of the Gems (SNES) Not much going on today so far. Life isn't what I would call great, but it isn't anywhere around bad. A little boring, but that's okay. No important thoughts today either. Wait...here one comes. I'm always reading about how people think they harp too much on abstinence in high school, and they don't talk enough about safe sex. I grew up in SC. One of the most conservative areas of our great nation besides maybe some areas of the great plains. When I took sex ed, yes abstinence was taught as the safest method of safe sex. There isn't any real chance of getting pregnant without sex. I mean, in our history there was one person out of how-many-trillion that was born without sperm attaching to an egg, and that's disputed (it's Jesus if you couldn't figure out who it was). But everyone says that they should teach more about condoms and spermicide and stuff like that. Yeah, kids should know about that kind of stuff sure. Maybe. But shouldn't parents teach their kids. It isn't the governments responsibility. They say that the government has taken responsibility because the parents aren't responsibly. So the parents get off completely. I think if an underage child gets pregnant all the responsibility and some creative punishment should go on the parents. Another things is kids aren't really emotionally mature (or dead) enough to have sex. Not today. Not the way their raised anymore. 100 years ago, probably, but we hold back maturity and growth so much these days that kids aren't mature enough to have sex. They want to, but they aren't ready for it. Most kids don't understand love (as a lot of adults don't) and mistake it with lust or infatuation. This may be in a large part due to pop music. And kids aren't emotionally ready(dead) to just have free sex with multiple partners (even though no one should in my opinion). They haven't had the experience to disconnect any emotion to sex or to be responsible enough to protect themselves from everything. In all, I know that I was taught plenty enough about sex in school. I was taught how to put on the condom. I was taught about how a female condom works. I was taught about spermicide. I was taught about pulling out. I was taught about some many things. Even about oral sex, and how it's a safe option apart from regular sex to not get pregnant, but you can still get STDs. That's what I was taught! And people say the abstinence is taught to much? Free condoms are available everywhere too. I was also taught where to go to get those. Like I said, I was taught in SC these things. I guess all these other people where taught in Vatican City or something. Because I can't figure out many more conservative areas than the deep South. So for not having much to say, I think I said a lot. update: more wasted time... Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 3 (GBA) update: what do I do with me life?... Freedom Force (PC)

State Farm's on Your Side?

Men reading fashion magazines

Oh what a world it seems we live in

Straight men, oh what a world we live in

This is a quote from a song by Rufus Wainwright called "Oh What A World". I think it's a very interesting lyric. It's a great song too. It sounds like Radiohead doing a Broadway or Elton John song. Very good stuff. It's off the Want One album. Good stuff.

I've received my first official bill today. It's my car insurance. $78.35 a month. And that's because they charge me a $3 service charge. Why do they charge you a service charge when you're already giving them too much to begin with? I could take all the money I spend on car insurance and put it away (same with health insurance) and save so much money over my life. I could probably retire early. Think about it. Really think about it. Think about putting $78.35 away every month for forty years. That's $37,608. Which I realize is not a huge amount, but if you put it into an account with interest. And think that I only have basic insurance to cover another car if I get in a wreck. I think that would cover most any wreck you decide to get in. And think about how much money people spend a month on health insurance and unnecessary medical expenses. It's crazy the money wasted. No wonder insurance company people and doctors drive such nice cars to their four story houses.
Also, how many people do you know actually get into $37,000 worth of damage in cars in their lifetime? If they did you know they'll probably shell out at least $50,000 to $100,000 in insurance. Man, I wish I'd thought of that scam.

Oh, what a world we live in.

Family Guy and Marriage in One Month! Did I Win The Lottery?

Dungeon Keeper 2 - My latest review. I really enjoy reviewing old school games.

I watched the third volume of ATHF last night and laughed what little butt I have off. I love that show. Good news too, July is when new episodes are arriving. June is the month for Family Guy. Sweet. I'm getting Married and new Family Guy episodes in one month! That's the best month ever!

Not much going on today so far. Still working regularly at a temp job. I have to work on a Crapple, but that's okay. At least the monitor is nice. I still don't really like 'em. I felt dirty all day after being on one.
It's funny how people (like myself) can be so hardcore about one computer system or another. IBM or Apple or LINUX. I've decided from now on I'm going to make fun of people who don't use DOS. That my friends, is the greatest operating system of all time. It was simple with only white letters on a black screen. It took up almost no hard-drive space. Not every moron who wants to chat online could; you had to know code to use that sucker. Man, DOS was awesome. I never had DOS crash on me. And even on a 386 it only took around ten seconds to load. Wow.
Who is with me on this? DOS? Come on guys. We can do this. Sure, we have to find out dated computes with little or no value apart from the plastic that made their casings. Sure, we'll be able to play Wolfenstien 3D and Doom, but that'll probably be it. Sure we'll have to memorizing lines and lines or outdated code that no one in their right mind today would try to learn again. But I think it'd still be worth it. What do you think? I think you think yes!

My First Review

I just posted my first review on the website. It's also of a game you've probably never heard of. But that's okay. You can still check it out and give me some good feedback.

That Sweet, Sweet, Bitter, Black Brew

So, I'm at work for the second day. Today without any coffee in my system. I feel like my eyes are about to fall out of my skull. I just want to pass out and go back to sleep. I'm so tired.
All the coffee places at Clemson are closed for right now, so I have to wait until they are open. It's not soon enough.

Jak and Daxter is a great game. I know it's old, but I played it last night for the first time. It's so simple yet so great.

Sphinx and the Curse of the Mummy is a good game as well. It doesn't really tell you what to do though, so you spend too much time trying to figure out what you can do.

Splinter Cell is a cool game. I haven't really gotten far enough into it to make an opinion yet. I'll get back to you with more later.

I want to take a four hour nap right now. That's what I need. That and money, but right now I'd take sleep over money. It's going to be a long day.

Life, Death, Heaven, and Hell

I've been at work all day, and I've done very little. Its boring, but at least I'm out doing something.

Life is very up in the air. You know, even when we think we have everything planned out just the way we want, things go to hell. There's no planning for any definite future. Sure, we can have plans and dreams, but when we rely on them too heavily we lose focus on the present; and then if we hold tightly to all those plans and dreams, what happens when they all fall apart? Are we going to be able to deal with the change, with the earth shattering conclusion that we cannot control our fate?

Philosophers and theologians and just general people have tried to figure out where we go when we die. Do we go to a physical heaven? A place where we sing with Angles and bask in the glory of God on golden streets? Or can we go to a physical Hell? A place of brimstone and lakes of fire where we spend the rest of eternity in agony and fear? Or is the idea of a physical location of an afterlife just a comforting solution to small minded humans? Is heaven just in the presence of God and hell the absence of the presence of God? That's what I think. So don't get too comfortable on the notion of a huge feast and sing-a-long in heaven. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with what happens (unless you go to Hell). I guess though, that only takes care of monotheistic religions with a belief in a paradise.

So what do those of you without a notion of a heaven or hell believe? Do you even ever dwell on the thoughts and issues surrounding death or do you try to forgo those thoughts and just make it through the day?

Yes, I have too much free time at work and I sit around all day and think about this crap.

The Pain of a New Job

Some would say that pain is weakness leaving the body. I don't entirely agree with that. Pain is a sign that we have a weakness. Whether that weakness is mind, body, or soul, pain is there to show us that we need to work on something. Pain shows us that we need to change our diet, our relationships, our perspective. Only when our lives are perfectly harmonized will there be no more pain. Pain is constant until death.

Sorry for a downer like that to start off with.

I'm starting my new job today. I've been up since 5:30. I'm about to drive an hour and a half to work. I'll be sleeping on a friend's couch during the week and then coming back home on the weekends to see my fiance and my mema. I have no idea what I'll be doing at this job and it is only temporary. But at least it's work. I'm so ready to do anything right now. I hate not working. It makes me feel like I have no purpose. Now, with that said, I'm not a workaholic. When I do work, I really enjoy my time not working, and tend to try to make that time as great as possibly.

So I'm about to head out for the week. Hopefully my job won't suck. My friend has a PS2, so I'm going to start Splinter Cell and see if that's any good. I love Tenchu, and hopefully it's just as good.

Y'all keep 'em straight up! A'ight! (Have a good week, you all. Alright!)

Wow...This Is Pointless, But Read It Anyways!

So 16 more points and I think I can start reviewing games. I'll be sad to not be a pheonix down anymore, but we can't stay the same, can we. But I enjoy reviving people from KO with very low health.

I bought Keane's album "Hopes and Fears". Really good stuff. A lot of people say if you like Coldplay or Radiohead then you should pick up Keane's album. I say if you just like music, check it out.

Rap is not music. It is poetry to a beat, and generally bad poetry at that.

I recieved Avengers 89 yeasterday as a gift from my grandma. She had it and decided to give me all of her comics.

Have I ever mentioned that I love Angie Aparo. He is so great. And everyone who hears him agrees.

So this entry doesn't contain any great and wonderful ideas and expressions, but my life really is pretty boring right now.
