Wow...just wow. Go to 8:00 in the video, and just look at that sales disparity! That's just awesome. Keep working hard MS...you might eventually get my money one of these days.
What he said early on is exactly what I've been saying. MS pissed in the face of gamers; they felt (for some stupid reason) that abandoning their existing customer base (gamers) and trying to go after an entirely different market was the smart thing to do.
You made your bed, now you gotta lie in it! Way to own up to it Phil. You haven't quite won my trust back, but I'm keeping an eye on you guys.
@Triton: Because Gears of War Ultimate Edition and Halo:MCC are brand spanking new games, right?? And then the ultimate ridiculous "remaster", Rare Replay. If that's nothing more than a cash grab, I don't know what is.
@NiteX: Can you imagine what the headlines will be if Sony manages to edge out the Xbox One again in sales numbers this holiday season? It'll be awesome to see what other tricks MS has to pull to try and maintain some level of sales parity. Because I don't think there's anything they can do to catch up at this point.
@stoney29z: Look at it this way. Playstation has a 2:1 advantage over Xbox One sales. Yes? So, if you say that about 1/2 of those people that own a PS4 now, were previously Xbox 360 owners (never owned a PS3), then that would put you at 50% of your adopters never even had access to the franchise. Now, if you look at the *current* install base of PS3, and the number of units that the Uncharted games have sold, if you can say that you only sold 1 for every 2 consoles sold, that's 50% of your PS3 install base that has never played an Uncharted game. That gets you to 75% right there. 50% new to the Playstation ecosystem, and then 50% of the remaining 50% never having played the games previously.
It's a bit of a stretch (IMHO), but that's probably how they get there. Fun with maff!
I could see why they would think so. But, unless it's accompanied with a price drop (which it may be), I'm not sure it will do as good as they expect.
It's a system seller only in that people that have held off for a couple of years before moving to the "next gen". This might be the game/bundle that helps them make that decision. There are still a number of people out there that may be on 360, and still considering making the jump to next gen...and to the "dark side". But, I think Halo 5 and Backward Compatibility may have them thinking twice about going to PS4. Those may be compelling reasons to stick with the brand you know and love.
I agree with others; fans of PS3 that haven't jumped to PS4 yet, probably aren't too compelled by this bundle...because they've already played the games in the series. They'll need something more to entice them. Otherwise, they'll probably just sit tight on PS3 until Uncharted 4 drops next year. Or some other title.
It's a biopic. Meaning, it's a truthful depiction/representation of his life and events that occurred within it. If it weren't true, then she would have reasonable course for "defamation of character", wouldn't she? Or maybe that's not the right terminology. Bottom line, if it's not factually correct, then you have an argument that it's not a biopic and shouldn't be labeled as such.
@freakx2001: The subtle difference is the way that MS would shove the content (and ads) in your face, and make it the first thing that you see every time you turned on your system. On the PS4, it sounds like it's "buried" in your "Library" area, which you have to actually navigate to in order to see it.
As someone else stated, didn't Bungie/Activision at some point quite a while ago state that there would never be microtransactions in the game? I thought this was the case, but I'm quite sure I wouldn't be able to find the evidence of such a statement. Maybe someone with more resolve than I will find it and call them out on their bullshit.
Of course, they've got their addicts on lockdown at this point...so it won't matter.
