@deadbeat213 I don't endorse useless bashing. but criticism helps. if someone chooses a ps4 it doesn't mean they won't ever consider an xbox. by voicing their concerns they just might improve the experience for both current and potential players.
also remember that it is an industry dominated by two players. scrutiny is important to keep both of them in check. both consoles share a lot of the policies and if you show dissent for what one of them is doing, the other will likely avoid it. otherwise it will just become standard and everyone loses.
one thing i have never understood is the xbox requiring a subscription to access netflix. you pay for netflix, then you pay for live as well if you use your xbox. that does not make sense at all. they are now extending this to free services such as skype and f2p games. it is just purely unjustified.
if i dont have the time to play games for a couple of months and I want to use the hardware I payed money for to access netflix or other software then im forced to still buy a gold subscription. why not just charge a flat monthly fee for even just owning an xbox and get it over with.
The biggest problem with the Xbox One policies was that they were so vague and ambiguous that they could have been molded in anyway Microsoft saw fit.
Specific, clear and meaningful communication of the policies would have been welcomed, but was not the case, even when Microsoft had a chance at E3 to do so after their earlier reveal event.
Since cross-platform publishers partner and receive revenue from both console companies, they will always say they are equal in order to be diplomatic and not strain relations. A reliable hardware review can only be done by external review sites which are not affiliated directly with the industry.
@blackace didn't they say we will need an adapter for all old headsets? the audio can connect through the same optical out but we would need an adapter for the mic port on the controller.
