@novaprime1985: look I never said the game is flawless. I never said it wasn't overrated by some people. What I said is that if you LOVE all the other final fantasy games like I do then there is no reason to justify somebody saying the game sucks compared to the others. You pretty much sound like you're looking for an argument and because you disagree with what I said you're gonna go ahead with you're own mudslinging. Hypocrite.

I've played every entry in the FF series and liked all of them for the most part. Any super fan of the FF series who says they don't like FFVII can't be trusted. They just seem like they're trying to go against the flow like a hipster or something. Even if it's not your favorite I can't comprehend people saying it's not any good.

@Ripper_TV: I kinda like the fact that they're showing that his inner demons and troubled past taking a toll on him both mentally and physically. He does look sick but it makes him seem more human and therefore more relatable. Or maybe I'm just blowing smoke lol

@linthes999: I like the way you said "concerned/interested". I think it pretty much sums up everyone's opinion on the strategy they're taking. Remaining hopeful yet cautious so we don't get our hopes up too much and get burned

@JRLennis: They're doing a lot of things differently from the original so I wouldn't be surprised if they took it another step further. But you're right as far as the original changing the feel of the game at certain points. But if they're following the original in that regard then why would they word it like that in the first place?

So they've said its not episodic like the telltale games. Each installment will be the size of a full game so I'm thinking like FF13 or mass effect which I would be fine with in the FF7 world. But what has me worried is when they said "each part having its own unique experience" ...what do they mean by that?

@MajinSquall: people end up leaving links in the comment sections that clear up a lot of the confusion I get from gamespot. And then gamespot releases an entirely new artical filling in a few blanks they left out. Like you said it's all about the clicks lol

@jinzo9988: besides killing enemies and picking up items (which is what you would do in any rpg) name one thing you can do in the Skyrim overworld map that isn't triggered my specific missions and locations. They could just as easily add much that kind of content in the new remake. You think that because the map they made back in 1997 wasn't full of crafting materials like Skyrim then there's no point in having it in this game. Also good job "explaining" what everybody already knows in your five paragraphs because I really needed it.

@king_quaps: it's the same reason resident evil traded its horror roots for the action gameplay. We're losing all of our favorite games so they can mold them all into the same repeated call of duty/hack n slash formulas.
