According to www.vgchartz.com the wii has sold 10.57 while the x360 has sold 10.51. I am not saying these numbers are 100 % accurate.

There is no other big three, that's an insult to the first big three.

The 4 main franchises Nintendo has going now are Mario, Zelda, Smash, and Metroid. The rest of the titles are exactly that, the rest. They're not on the same level as those franchises, sure some titles may score high but overall those franchises can't compare.

HOLY COW! Yoy're forgetting the second mostselling franchise on any console! Pokemon! I am pretty sure that should be up there, altough not on the console, but it's definately one of the big 5 franchises

The Wii is out selling everything because it has a new controller which everyone finds fascinating and has to have one. 95% of the people that buy a Wii have no clue that a game such as Super Smash Brothers is coming out for it.

It is also the same with the PS3 and 360. People buy the console because of its name and not because of its games.

But the Wii is not selling because of the games it has on it.

SSBM sold 6,6 million copies. Halo (1) sold 6,4.

These are the second places in sales on GC and XB. Yes halo 2 sold more. More than any GC game, but GCs 2-5 sold more than XBs 2-5.

The Wii has with games nobody will buy sold 24,5 million games, in 9 months.

The X360 has sold 32,4 in 18? months.
