People will complain about anything. The devs announce free DLC for everyone and people get upset over them using micro-transactions instead. Folks have actually come on here and promised that they will no longer purchase the game because of this (which is their own loss). The devs seem to really be working hard and listening to the community with regard to this game and I think they should be rewarded for their efforts.
I play this and other games for fun; an hour of my time per day (maybe) and that includes all my other games, hence I don't have all day to work toward unlocking my favorite type weapon. Does that weapon then make me a master over the competition? Of-course not! All it does is suit my style of play which makes the game more fun for me while I'm playing. The weapons may be different, but the devs spend allot of effort making them balanced. So its not about buying the 'best' weapon, but more about buying the weapon that you like the best.
If I use a weapon in the campaign that suits my gameplay, then by all means I might go ahead and buy it for multiplayer and co-op Skirmish. If that upsets folks then they can boycott the game, and while at it, they can also boycott all games that include micros (and good luck with that)...
I think its far to early to make make a decision on the gameplay with only a short demo that's pre-alpha and months away from release. I say this not to the writer, but to the response comments I've already seen. Im sure the game will come with difficulty settings, and according to the gamers invited to play the live-stream, the feel and handling are more advanced (difficult) than they were in the original (well not original, but you know what I mean)...
ps.. Im really glad they added pitch and yaw controls to flight, could not stand the arcade style of the original (...um whatever).
@skyhighgam3r: I cant deny that Horizon is a really popular series. I would probably fall into the category of those who like 'watching paint dry' but I can certainly understand why folks like Horizon.
I am having fun with the demo and I will probably get the full game aswell.
Im a huge Forza Motorsport fan and typically stay away from Horizon because its too arcady. Basically the faster the car class in the game, the more arcady the feel. Hence I like the fact that you can customize the races to different classes here. I find that the slower vehicles and off-road vehicles drive just at the right speed where it doesn't feel as arcady, which works out to be quite fun. Also the slower vehicles allow me to take in more of the scenery aswell.
Presently I'm having allot of fun driving the Australian green truck/car thing (can't remember the name)...
I wish more developers would devote resources to a demo...
Just to be clear, I'm an Xbox guy. Now that I have that out of the way I would like to congratulate Sony on a really good show. I was really impressed with the PS4Pro price and that HDR will be available for all PS4 users.
I really like the fact that the major players are competing hard to please us gamers. With that said, I'm hoping Xbox owners will get our own HDR update (if possible) and I hope this forces Scorpio to hit a similar price point aswell...
