I presently own an Xbox One and WiiU and I am very excited about the direction of the industry. I will definitely be watching the PS4s/K event (and also the upcoming NX event). I wish Sony all the best (especially with VR) and hope that the major industry players keep pushing each other to their limits - which works out really well for us gamers...
There are just two conclusions after watching this video:
1) Either they are ignorant of the fact that you can choose to play on Hard and Master difficulty which increases the game's competitiveness greatly. OR
2) They are aware that you can increase the game's difficulty and are intentionally being deceptive in order to bash the game...
Just about every other review of the Skirmish mode very clearly shows where you can increase the difficulty which drastically improves the AI. You can choose for yourselves if the folks in this video fits into either number 1 or 2 above...
@Crypt_mx: They obviously didn't spend any time on the harder difficulty settings at all. All the other reviews on Skirmish mode state that Normal mode is easy, Hard mode is challenging and Master mode is extremely difficult...
The original article appears to make it seem as if co-op is limited to splitscreen, but when asked about it on Twitter, Brannvall answered, "that part is just like missions"... Hence we will be able to play online co-op vs bots on Walker Assault.
This makes me VERY happy... :-)
ps, additionally the above article says you can choose 2 difficulty settings but the original article says this: "Skirmish can be played on a difficulty level of your choosing and across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron. With multiple locations that span the galaxy,..."
@chimekolover88: "...someone who is so easily amused and swayed into there way of thinking. good job giving EA more reason to turn out bull*^? and sell it off as games! "
Thank you for your most eloquent and very constructive critique... However no one is saying that Battlefront is a perfect game. As a fan of the game -and someone who plays it quite often- I can attest to the problems with the content (or lack thereof), and I (along with others) have given my genuine constructive criticism to the developers and they have received it and have made -and continue to make- changes as we the fans see fit. While these changes are being made I have two options available to me:
1) I can choose to have a great time with what's in the game, OR
2) I can choose to become bitter and angry and insult others who are having a great time with what's in the game...
I chose the former, and obviously many people have chosen the latter... There is also a third option which most folks in these forums are not aware of, or at the very least are not utilizing. That third option is to just have nothing to do with the game (or any EA game for that matter). Ironically many people would make the claim that they choose to have nothing to do with a particular game, but those same folks still always end up in the forums of those same games to which they supposedly have nothing to do with and spend their precious time and effort insulting the game, its creators, and its fans... This makes no sense...
What does make sense however, is for the detractors of a game to spend their quality time in the forums of those games to which they are themselves fans. There are many games that I've felt developers have ruined over the years, however I cant say they I've spent any time what-so-ever in those games' forums insulting the game and its fans... That adds absolutely zero value to my life. If I genuinely want to help make a game better, then I go to the developer's site and very constructively give my thoughts on the matter.
Wow... Lots of negative comments on here... I too wish that Battlefront had more singleplayer content, but I must admit to being very excited for more Star Wars games and DLC...
