for me I'd say Demon's Souls followed by LBP.

ill get more later, and ill probably rent some. i was thinking LBP because of the replayabilty. any suggestions on the subject?

So right now I have about 20 games, if I were to go through and just keep the games I find absolutely essential. I would be left with Demon's Souls, LBP, Valkyria Chronicles, and Killzone 2. everything else is nice to have, but I don't consider absolutely necessary(oblivion, Uncharted, MGS4, Dead Space, Resistance, . . .).

Regardless of what you pick all the games people have been suggesting are excellent choices, and you won't be disappointed.

I think I might get it. I'm going to ask for a game for my birthday coming up, I haven't decided if I want to get MAG or WKC yet. I might hold off on WKC since I have a couple RPGs I'm still playing though. I'll be playing Raven when/if I get it.

I wish this was released on PSN like warhawk, then i could split the cost with my brother.

In terms of Online games I'd probably go with MAG I really don't care for Uncharted 2 and COD4 multiplayer, but single player is Uncharted 2.

My guess is it will probably go on sale around easter, so you should just wait until then if you want to get. I enjoyed it a lot, but I'm pretty open minded.

Killzone 2 SP is definitely better than R2. the AI in R2 is just so stupid and KZ2 has better level design. the first Resistance campaign is better than R2 as well imo.

I don't have a 60 but my brother does and it still works perfectly for him.

I have about 100GB free so this is just a drop in the bucket. no problems here.

The other day, I bought a used copy of Mirror's Edge for my PS3 from gamestop. I looked at the disc, and it's in perfect condition. I am on chapter 6 of the game, and whenever I go up the same staircase, the game freezes and does not un-freeze. I have tried replaying the chapter three different times, and every time it freezes. Does anyone know why this is happening, and what I could do to stop it? Thanks :)
