@Rifleman22388: Uhh... Just so you know, "white slavery" refers to sexual slavery (human trafficking, etc.). That's a large part of why his statement was so weird.
@Digisurfer @jupsto Doubt it. I mean, it looks like it could be a game I'd play, but RVS was and will likely always be the height of the R6 franchise, I'd wager. I played that Online until there were maybe 6 or so people that ever played reliably, but I guess nothing good lasts forever...
I would say more people here need to try BF2, but EA decided no one should ever do that again... (though the "riviveBF2" project is working on fixing that)
@ubergusterfan @parrot_of_adun Sorry if that sounded antagonistic. But it is (particularly in Star Citizen's case) complex. It's generally something people need to pay close attention to if they want to put their money into a project, lest they get screwed over. SC is putting what seems to be a lot of thought into how they're going to prevent "feature creep", for example, which is something that likely looks intimidating or downright sketchy to one who isn't up to date on their efforts.
There are potential pitfalls, certainly, but with that comes a greater potential to do something outstanding (compared to the traditional publisher method).
@ubergusterfan All kickstarters last the same amount of time. Star Citizen's first and still primary means of funding is through their own website. Their month-long KS ending a long time ago. This would be the first of several clues that you're not at all familiar with either KS or Star Citizen.
