No it has 512 mb internal flash memory (like a huge-ass internal memory card), more than enough for game saves and a very large handful of VC downloads.tomarlyn

Yup...solid state memory.  It's actually faster than a hard drive, and it takes up less space with lower power consumption.

Make sure your sensor bar is still in place.  A friend of mine had a similar problem until he realized that his sensor bar and fallen behind his TV.

Wii is the system for everybody. My wife wouldnt play PS2 but she can't stop playing Wii. Before I left the Industry last yr I sold 200 people the Wii at retail stores and sold the idea to more. Just keep playing it and have patience....maybe I should a book or something

Kwing1983

Kwing raises a good point here.  My fiance would never play video games with me, unless it was the original Mario Bros. or Duckhunt on my NES.  Since I got the Wii, however, she's completely hooked!  I'm not even just talking about the VC games either, she is the biggest Wii Sports addict ever and she can hardly wait for Resident Evil 4 to come out for the Wii.  Why is she so excited to play?  She told me that she's been intimidated by the complex, 8+ button controllers video games have used in the past.  Now she can use the intuitive motion controls in addition to just a few buttons.  Nintendo's innovation has made a gamer out of her, and the most surprised person was herself.

I bet they will eventually.  Just be patient, and keep checking the Wii Shop Channel on Mondays.

No one should "make" you like anything.  You will either like the console or not, and nothing anyone tells you will change your own feelings about it.

If you really want my opinion, you got the console and play one game before selling it.  It doesn't sound like you really gave it much of a chance to develop.  It seems like people are just so impatient nowadays.  If there are not 100 great games available at launch they complain and say the console is no good.  You need to decide if YOU like the console or not, but it seems that writing it off just because of your impatience is a waste.  As I said, this is just my opinion.  Do what you think is best.

The one thing I hate when I log on to play LIVE on my 360 is the stupid kids cussing at me for killing them on Gears of War. I hate listening to them rant. All they do is cuss, then at times it becomes racial, it's insane! The friends code, although is weak at some points is great when it's only your friends. Friends you know best are better than playing with strange 12 year olds who do nothing but rant online. yoda-san

i see them as a telephone number, there not hard to remeber Jammaren

I agree.  I think Nintendo saw a problem associated with the XBox Live service, and tried to solve it.  You have to realize that the Wii has been billed as a family oriented console.  I think it's easy to see why Nintendo would want to provide people with a way to control who you can talk with / interact with online.  Parents will love the feature, and everyone else will get used to it.

Is it a joke???  I mean really now....jelac07

This was an April Fool's joke from ThinkGeek.  However, ThinkGeek also advertised an 8-bit tie as a joke too but there was a huge outcry for them to actually make it, so they did.  My thoughts are that this still IS a joke...unless of course a ton of people really wanted it badly enough to make selling them viable.
