@eternaldragoonx: Yep it's a shame, no doubt about it. Not because i'm looking for the best hardware (i have a PC for that) but because the power difference is a bigger topic this gen than the actual games. I suppose the good news is that Microsoft aren't likely to make the same mistake in their future consoles.

This is odd news to me. I just finished the game again on my X1 & ran into virtually no issues..? The only obvious difference to me are the loading times from the main menu, which are definitely longer. It's a shame to hear that some people are having issues with it, but i'm sure they'll sort it out in the following days & weeks. Lets remember that this has all been done for no cost at all on our parts, which is important to remember before we start slagging off the whole BC initiative.

@vicsrealms: I'll be following suit as soon as i have 'secure' access to my account again. It's just not worth leaving the details on there for the sake of the one minute it takes to type them in before a purchase.

My mind immediately jumps to ME2 & 3 when the discussion of multi-disc games comes around. I'm still very pleased with the BC list thus far, hopefully we'll see plenty more big hitters in the future.

@ptsdgamer1: Meanwhile, most of us pay the real cost & support companies that provide us a quality service. You have absolutely no right to tell me to shut up on this topic.

@mpl911: I hear you, i really do :) I'd never scoff at free games, Origin & Steam quite often give out free games & i absolutely love that! My argument is about the perception of them being free, it's simply not the case anymore. GWG came around to directly compete against PS+ & offset the impact it could potentially have over market share in the long term. These 'free' games are now driving forces for Gold membership sales & possibly even the consoles themselves, & they're standard additions to the paid service now because competition would eat them alive if they weren't. In 2015 i wonder just how many members either platform would lose (and they most definitely would) without these 'free' games being part of their services.

I spend a lot of money on games, especially on my Xbox One, so i promise i'm not a cheapskate :P (all digitally too). I just think it's a shame that so many people feel they need to be grateful for GWG when the service has been incorporated into your subscription (and a reason for why i personally subscribe) & is paid by it. Lets be frank, £40 a year for Gold was always entirely too expensive, & i've been using it on & off (depending on games & what friends were doing) since 04. PS+ came around (granted as optional on PS3) & showed new heights for paid subs on consoles, be it with quality 'free' games or discounts. MS have responded to this & become realistic to peoples expectations. So is that 'free' book really free? It seems to me that it's under conditions, at least for those people that don't necessarily feel like they spend enough time playing online to justify using a paid service. GWG might well be what keeps a percentage of people re-subbing.

As an aside, i enjoyed Dragon Rising a lot with friends back in the 360 days, and again more recently on PC. It's a fun game! If you have a PC i seriously recommend you try ARMA 2 &/or 3. You'll love those games.

@ltjohnnyrico: They're not technically free since we're paying for Xbox Live Gold. That being said, i do agree that the best stuff probably shouldn't be given away for free, but those Xbox One games are laughable quite frankly. I won't bother downloading any of them, even when they're 'free'.

Its been same on the PSN too. Maybe they're struggling at the moment to get devs/pubs of quality games to commit to PS+/GWG, or maybe as you said, it's their way to get you spending money.

Depending on the design aspect of the NX, i.e, whether or not it's a hybrid console, we might just need one of these standalone Wii U Gamepads to play Wii U games on the new console, assuming of course that Nintendo decide to continue with backwards compatibility.
