There's no reason this couldn't be a good film if they treat it with at least a bit of respect. It's not going to top the box office charts or have the critics going crazy (let's be realistic), but i'm definitely already interested.
@nastyhotpocket: I'd love the opportunity to play an Outbreak game (or both) online. I never had the chance (or gave myself the chance rather) back then to see what it was like with other people. The single player was alright, but online co-op was clearly the focus point. That being said, if doing this slows down development for Resident Evil 2 & possibly 3, then it's something that can wait.
Looks even more amazing, i can't wait to play this on PC or Xbox One early next year! My Wii version has already been traded on. I only need a port of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (will probably never happen) & i'll never need to switch on my Wii again :)
Whether it catches up to the PS4 or not, i'll continue to thoroughly enjoy using my Xbox One. I was primarily on PlayStation consoles beforehand, but I decided to ditch my PS4 & switch over to Xbox earlier this year when I began to learn just how much they were trying to win people like me over...and it worked! Being number 2 brings out the best in a company, something that Sony learned very well with the PS3. Phil Spencer & his staff at Xbox are doing an amazing job & they've really turned the system around in every possible way they can. If I have to see a minor visual cut (which none of us are a stranger to using consoles) in exchange for a better overall experience & the games to go along with it, then so be it.
@ohjtbehaaave: I've literally never bought a season pass prior to its full promised content release for the reasons you said. Trust isn't something I give to any games company asking for my money. It's up to them to show US what they have to offer for the price they ask, it shouldn't under any circumstance be the other way round. Yes it might work out a little cheaper to fork out the money early & in one transaction, but it's hardly uncommon for a season pass to contain content you'd never have bought individually. in reality, we're likely saving a little money by only purchasing worthwhile content, and more importantly, proven content.
@ohjtbehaaave: Yep it's a complete loads of bollocks on general principle. Where i differ with you is that if general opinions of outlets & people i trust say the game is worth $60/£45 as it stands on launch, without the 'extra' content, i'll pay the asking price & just not buy the 'additional content'. I won't cut off my nose to spite my face with all this. There's more than likely going to be an excellent £45 game here as it stands. Ironically, people like us would probably throw money at them for some real addition, post launch content if we knew that it was just that.
@shawn747: Perhaps the sort of microtransactions that exist in the single player experience that are incorporated in a way that slows down the intended progress of 'X' to pave the way for these 'only if you want them' microtransactions?
It's important for us - the consumer to be sceptical. It keeps publishers especially on their toes, since you know, we're not in the business of marketing & selling games.
