^I think its more the principal of the thing & not the amount. It seems like nickle & diming. And they're charging a premium for something thats barely usable in the first place.

Besides, it was once free & is still free updates to those who downloaded early, now its not for new users. Nothing has really changed that I can tell even after the updates, so what are people paying for exactly??

Geez, I tried to get through 10 minutes of Brawl tonight. Got freezes galore & got disconnected twice, once was in the middle of a sudden death. Im getting kinda fed up. I bought this game to play online with friends & others, but so far its been a total pain & hasnt worked as promised. Free or not, it should still work if they're gonna offer it.

Honestly, they should put a "Beta" sticker on the Wii's online service so people know what they're getting into.

Brawl's online really has some issues. Anyway, I would suggest you activate DMZ on your wireless network and it might improve somewhat. I did it and since then I've been able to play some good Brawl online matches.

How do you find out the Wii's local IP address to open up DMZ??

[QUOTE="Lunar52"]Give Mario Kart Wii a chance. The online is fantastic. Also Medal of Honor Heroes 2 has amazing online.Super-Mario-Fan

I probably will. I may just sell Brawl & get those. I hate to do that because its such an awesome game, but if I cant play online its not nearly as fun. Playing the CPU by myself gets old pretty fast.

Do you have any real friends? Just curious.

No, dude. Im a total recluse that lives in my mom's basement, never seeing the light of day. What kind of question is that??

YES, I have real friends. Not everyone has a Wii you know. And even the ones I know who do don't have Smash Bros & its not my job to convince them to buy the game just so I can play with them.

Besides, they shouldnt make it so difficult to meet new players online, forcing me to post my friend codes all over the internet on forums. I know they gotta protect the kiddies, but I'm an adult. Isnt that what the built in Parental controls are for??

And remember, the service is free. It's not like we're paying for some sort of premium online package here.

thebisonx

True, but that still shouldnt be an excuse as to why its intergrated so poorly in most games. They've made the choice to include it, so it should at least work properly.

So, I love my Wii. I love it! I dont have any other system because I'm THAT loyal to Nintendo.

HOWEVER, I've been getting into some of their online games recently (Brawl, Strikers Charged, etc) & I absolutely hate their online capabilities. Why oh why do we have to use a different code for each game?? Wouldnt it be easier just to use our Wii console numbers?? And why can I only play these limited matches in Brawl with total strangers?? It might as well be the CPU, I wouldnt know the difference.

And lately, I've been having a heck of a time registering new people. It will say "Awaiting Registration" next to their name forever! Even though we've both entered each others codes. The least N could do is have the service work right if we have to put up with friend codes.

I know Nintendo wants everyone to play with each other in person like its a big party, but you know what? Not everyone has the time to gather up friends to do that all the time. It would be nice if we could, but thats not always the case. And games like Brawl kinda suck alone, so there we go.

Sorry for venting, I just hate what they've done to online. Its totally gimped up & they really do these games an injustice by not having a better online system. Nintendo's such a smart company that listens to its customers, so why cant they understand that??

Hey dudes. I just started playing recently but I'm getting better & better. I need some online players to smash it up with one on one (getting tired of those random online chaotic group battles)!

Code: 4983-5282-9949

Name: Kerry

Character: Meta Knight

As always, PM with your info if you add me. Cheers!
