There's good likelihood that Sony is keeping the price of the PS3 high so that it doesn't damage continuing strong sales of PS2 hardware and software. But the transition from PS3 to PS2 will take place, and I predict it will happen in 2008.

Threads like these that bash current sales of the PS3 reveal an underlying dearth of understanding of the dynamics of the current console war.

i have to agree and it makes alot of sense. psone didn't have great sales in it's first year either but that didn't stop it from reaching 100+ million consoles sold.

Yeah, but it was a different time then. Nintendo was slacking & Sony slid in under their radar. That aint happening this time around clearly.

I gotta say, im not digging the new vids of RE: Umbrella Chronicles. I mean, I hope its good, but it just looks like a mindless shooter. Especially coming from RE: 4, which was just awesome.

Anyways, since RE: 5 isnt coming until 2009, I figured it would eventually get ported over to Wii, even though they arent "officially" making it for Wii. Just like RE: 4 did on PS2.

IMO I saw no real difference, because it's only going from 480p to 480i, (unless you have the PAL version of the Wii). There's not much of a difference, it may get rid of some of the jaggies though :\. Sorry I don't actually have the compenent cables (I don't want to spend 50$ on it). :P. Bass7

Its not just going from 480i to 480p. Its also got a lot to do with overall clarity & the connections themselves. Even if technically it was still in 480i, the component would still look better on a newer TV.

Go with the component. You'll see the difference on an LCD HDTV for sure.

Why are people still bashing the Wii for games like Wii Fit?? Guys, you all know darn well that the system has more games than those types & the mini-games. Im not gonna list them all here, you know them already, so why keep harping on it?? Those games are CLEARLY for the casuals & everything else is for the hardcore gamers. Thats why Wii sells.

Anyways, why do we have to put labels on everything?? Either a game is fun or its not. Im not gonna look at a game like Wii Fit with my nose turned up & be all like "Im WAY too hardcore for that!"If you do, then well, you my friend are missing the point.

Winners won't be decided at LEAST until end of 2008.

Has a system ever in history made a come back this far behind the competition?? Not to mention, the sheer momentum for sales of the Wii??? It would seriously take something MAJOR to happen, or a flat out miracle.

So, this isn't to rub anyone the wrong way (well, maybe a little), but after this years E3 announcements, its pretty plain to anyone who's not stuck in denial that the Wii has not only won this gen's console wars, its totally gonna rape the competition, especially Sony. Who, BTW still hasnt even sold 4 million units yet, while the Wii & 360 have sold nearly 10 million each.

Oh, how the tables have turned. Gotta love it!! Just saying, they had it coming. And by "they" I mean the cocky bastards at Sony.
