Was kind of excited for this game, but some of the bad press Bethesda was getting, the revelation the same studio that made Dishonored was making this, and the Amazon shipping delay caused me to cancel my pre-order. Going to wait and see how this game does, but the demo did not really make me feel good about the game. I don't understand why, in a horror game, you would have to pick up random stupid objects like coffee cups, magazines, game controllers, chairs and other stuff.
Well, if it happens, I will wait to see the results. Maybe Ubisoft should take less risks given some of their big name launch titles were plagued with bugs. If Vivendi can improve quality of the games, then I don't see a problem. If they start killing of franchises, then it becomes a problem. Who knows, maybe they can improve Assassin's Creed by making a game that is interesting and fun, instead of repetitive with a ridiculously convoluted and boring story.
@chris91090: I am saying you are being absolutely ridiculous in your assessment, indicating something way off about your perceptions on the matter. The label "drama queen" comes to mind.
@chris91090: Your comparing a game company concerned with their customer's experiences to a country who isolates, enslaves, and murders their own people is interesting. I am curious just how much games mean to you. And maybe how old you are.
I get it. There is something to be said for discovering things for yourself and not having them spoiled by others. Persona games, I think, have very immersive stories and characters. Spoiling things would harm that experience for others in a way the impact of certain events would not have nearly the same significance. I get it and understand their position having developed this game's story (so far very fascinating). I don't see anything wrong with Atlus wanting to keep a unique experience spoiler-free so gamers can experience what they want them to. That is how they made this game. The complaints against Atlus for wanting to preserve a special experience I think are not something to demonize, I think Atlus is justified here.
However, I think Atlus is delusional if they think people are not going to spoil the game.
