@helldragonzer: Dont. I just returned after 14 months of quitting and it is the same old crap. Bugs and glitches are still the same, the RNG has not been improved and they still find new inventive ways to artificially extend gameplay. The grind is worse.
@dirthurts: Who says they did not "properly test" their game? Maybe they did and even went beyond "proper". But you still assume that they are able to catch every single flaw prior to release. Ask a software developer if it is possible to catch every single issue before release, they will tell you no. This is no different. Even open betas still do not catch everything and games still require patching after release. There is no way of telling until millions of people all have the game and can actually test it. For all they knew, the game was finished. Having a perfect game on release is no longer possible today, developers are not making Atari and Nintendo games anymore.
Even AAA studios are not immune to bugs, glitches, and broken games. Look at Ubisoft's last several launches.
@smokerob79: Just about every game gets patched. Games are far more sophisticated than they were 15 years ago and require more work. It is near impossible to find all bugs and glitches before everyone gets them. Games that have open betas still get patched for one reason or another.
@vvulturas: Just like every other game. I see forum members complain about not being able to even get onto a menu screen on many big name game releases, which I mentioned earlier.
@mem: IT. JUST. CAME. OUT. It is not like Fallout 4 that still is broken coming up on a year already since release. Every game has patches after release.
Games with much higher budgets and manpower were unplayable for many people, like The Division and Overwatch, but that doesn't make the news now does it?
@smokerob79: Go back to a time when there was no patching games? Sure, that is easy to argue. But look at this generation. In the last few years tell me a game that has 0 patches at all.
Had the PS4 version crash on me 10 times yesterday within a few hours of playing. Crashed 2 more times this morning. Definitely not just bugged on PC.
But, I cannot remember a game release in recent history that did not have problems. People feeling entitled to perfection in gaming on day one need to understand that is impossible.
