[color=forestgreen]Level: 43 (75%)[/color] ~ Not too long ago I discovered this site that I really want to share on my blog. It's called FreeRice, and it's dedicated toward ending world hunger. Here's how it works: When you go to FreeRice, you can test your knowledge in a number of different subjects from math to English to geography to world languages. When you choose a subject (the default one is English Vocabulary), you'll be presented with a multiple choice question that has to do with that subject. Here's the awesome part: Whenever you get the right answer, ten grains of rice are donated through the United Nations World Food Program to help end world hunger. It may not seem like much, but think of it this way: thousands of people are participating, so thousands of grains of rice get donated. And as a result, millions of grains of rice get donated each day. I really think this is a great site, so I want to spread the word about it as much as possible. In other news, I decided to change my avatar again since I was once again getting bored of my current one. This time, however, I changed back to an avatar that I've used before, which I rarely do. It's the same Weavile avatar that I still use on GameSpot.

In other, other news, big news for those of you who live in the U.S., Europe, Australia, or New Zealand and have Pokemon Platinum. A new Wi-Fi event has arrived, this one allowing you to obtain Oak's Letter.:D If you get Oak's Letter, you can access an extension of Route 224 where you can battle and capture the legendary Shaymin. If you capture it, you can take it to a girl in Floaroma Town and she'll give you a Gracidea Flower, which you can use to transform Shaymin into its Sky Forme. The event started today, and will last until November 8th. Now then, time for the Random Pokemon of the Day:

Geodude (Japanese: イシツブテ Isitsubute) - The Rock Pokemon. At rest, it looks just like a rock. Carelessly stepping on it will make it swing its fists angrily.

Chapter 465 - Attack on the Summit!

Sasuke unleashes the third power of the Mangekyo Sharingan, Susanoo, and utterly annihilates the supporting pillars of the room. As a result, the entire structure collapses, and Sasuke uses this as a diversion to escape. He asks Karin if she found Danzo yet, and Karin says that she has. Sasuke demands that she lead him to Danzo, currently not caring about what became of Jugo and Suigetsu.

After they leave, Raikage, his assistants, and the Sand ninja make their way out of the rubble, preparing to go after Sasuke. As this process takes place, Gaara ponders what Naruto might have done in this situation.

Sasuke and Karin quickly arrive at the location of the summit, and Sasuke and Danzo make eye contact before Mifune attacks Sasuke head-on. Danzo uses this as an opportunity to escape, and Ao goes after him. Sasuke attempts to follow, but Mizukage unleashes an attack that bars his way. As Sasuke brings out his MS once more, he warns her to stay out of his way, but Mizukage isn't about to let that happen...

Sasuke goes after Danzo, Danzo takes off with Ao going after him, and Sasuke and Mizukage are about to face off. Things are definitely moving along awesomely here, and I can't wait for the action and developments to come.:D

Chapter 375 - Execution, Extinction

As Stark passes away from the fierce blow he recieved by Shunsui, he looks back at the time when he and Lilynette were all alone, but then met each other. After that, Aizen asked if he would like to join him. Meanwhile, Lisa, Hiyori, and Toshiro all release their zanpakuto and attack Halibel at once. The quad fight doesn't last long, however, as Aizen decides to "get things over with". Without warning, he slices Halibel to ribbons in cold blood, saying that she's apparently not strong enough anymore to fight for him. He then calls to Kaname and Gin, declaring that it's time to go...

Oh boy, things are really starting to move along now. Stark dies, Aizen kills Halibel, and he's finally about to make his move. I honestly didn't expect Aizen to slaughter one of the Espada in cold blood, just like that. I suppose it's to move the storyline along, but still... :?

Pokemon Dub Episode Update

DP125 - Battling a Cute Drama!

Continuing onward to Snowpoint City, Ash and friends stop in a Pokemon Center where Buneary gets the fluff hugged out of it by a girl named Marylin, who declares that she only likes cute Pokemon, and sets her own rules to that determine whether a Pokemon is "cute" in her eyes. After insulting Piplup by saying it doesn't fit in the "cute category", Dawn, who is pissed off by that remark, challanges her to a battle.

The battle being one-on-one, Dawn uses Buneary while Marylin sends out a Cherubi. Brock declares the start of the battle, but Marylin would rather admire her Cherubi's "cuteness" for a few more minutes than make the first move. As a result, Buneary takes the lead by hitting Cherubi with a bulls-eye Dizzy Punch. Instead of being upset, however, Marylin marvals at the look of "valiance" Cherubi desplays when it gets hurt and continues to battle. Brock gets upset by this, and as the battle continues on, Marylin finally decides to get serious and has Cherubi knock out Buneary in seconds.

While Team Rocket decide to steal all of Marylin's cute Pokemon, Brock continues to fume about the way Marylin acted with her Pokemon in-battle. Deciding to show Marylin that it's the bond between Trainer and Pokemon that really counts, Brock challenges Marylin to a battle himself...

This episode was better than I expected. Marylin was certainly a "unique" character of the day; annoying at first, but Brock got some sense into her at the end. Speaking of which, it was nice that Brock got some more focus for once. Overall, I thought the episode as a whole was... unique.:P Oh yeah, and yayz for Ash and comp. getting their Platinum cloths.:D

Naruto Shippuden Special Episodes 127 & 128 - Tales of a Gutsy Ninja - Jiraiya Ninja Scroll

A blast to the past takes place in this two-episode special, as it starts out with a young Jiraiya taking the bell test with his teammates Tsunade and Orochimaru. After seeing the Summoning Jutsu performed by his sensei Hiruzen (the future Third Hokage), Jiraiya becomes determined to make a summoning contract with an animal himself. He trains to the best of his abilities, but one day ends up on Mt. Myoboku, the home of toads, after trying to perform the Summoning Jutsu without a contract.

Once there, Jiraiya undergoes Sage training, and gets his prophecy fortold by the Great Toad Sage: He will grow up to travel the world on a search for his destiny, and train the very person who will change the ways of the world in a good or bad way. Jiraiya sets off on his quest, and does his best to search for this "chosen one", but with no success.

He eventually returns to the Hidden Leaf Village, and it isn't long before the Third Great Shinobi World War begins. While with Tsunade and Orochimaru, Jiraiya has an encounter with three Rain Village children who lost their parents: Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan. He decides to stay with these children to teach them how to survive on their own. One night, however, an incident occurs and Jiraiya is shocked to see that Nagato has the Rinnegan, the legendary Visual Jutsu possessed by the Sage of the Six Paths, the founder of all ninja. He then starts to wonder if this is boy is the chosen one...

I thought the story of Jiraiya's past was very well done. I didn't expect to see the time he spent with Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan this early in the anime, but it fit in nicely IMO.

[color=forestgreen]Level: 43 (70%)[/color] ~ Busy as usual, so I wasn't able to post a general update this past week either. Because of that, I'm going to delay the weekly anime/manga updates for a day or two, and post a general update now. So, let's begin.:P

To start off, I got a new emblem on GameSpot a little more than a week ago to show that I submitted a bracket for the All Time Greatest Game Hero competition going on there. I think it looks pretty cool, and it colors up my GameSpot profile a bit more.:P

As for high school, I'm continuing to have a good time there.:) One of my favorite cIasses that I'm taking is Japanese. I chose that language mainly because of my interest in anime (and I now know that the correct pronunciation for it is "ah-nee-may") and manga, and I thought it would be cool to learn the language of the country where anime and manga are from, and actually understand the Japanese versions without needing subtitles. Of course, knowing it that well is still quite far off, but I'm on my way. We're starting off by getting to know Hiragana, the most basic of the three Japanese alphabets. We're learning all of the Hiragana symbols and their respective sounds, as well as basic words and sentences. On top of that, we're learning about Japanese culture. All-in-all, it's a very fun cIass IMO.:D

Now then, I know I haven't done the usual randomness in quite a while, so I'll post double the amount this time. Also, since I'm learning Japanese, I've decided to post the Pokemon's Japanese name along with its English one from now on. Time to bring it!

Bayleef (Japanese: ベイリーフ Bayleaf) - The Leaf Pokemon. The buds that ring its neck give off a spicy aroma that perks people up.

Cherubi (Japanese: チェリンボ Cherinbo) - The Cherry Pokemon. The small ball is not only full of nutrients, it is also tasty. Starly try to peck it off.

Chapter 464 - The Power of Darkness

Raikage prepares to finish Sasuke off once and for all, and Sasuke prepares to defend himself the best he can. Just in the nick of time, however, Gaara arrives and blocks Raikage's attack with a barrier of sand. Raikage demands why he interfered in the battle, and Gaara replies by saying that the black flames of Amatarasu would have harmed him even more if he continued to go offense; and he wants to speak to Sasuke. So Raikage cuts off the arm engulfed in flames, and demands that Shi stops the bleeding. After he finishes, Raikage says that he'll attack Sasuke again.

Gaara states that Sasuke's eyes are the same as when they last spoke, and tries to convince Sasuke to turn away from the dark path that he is taken. Sasuke won't be convinced, however, and Kankuro and Temari tell Gaara that it's hopeless. With a tear flowing down his cheek, Gaara comes to agree, and he, Kankuro, and Temari start to attack Sasuke.

Meanwhile, Karin finally finds where Danzo is, but also discovers that a sensor is there. The sensor, one of Danzo's assistants, whispers to Danzo that the enemy has discovered their whereabouts and will arrive shortly. Danzo says to wait until they do and use the resulting confusion to escape, but Ao, who is also a sensor, isn't about to let that happen.

Gaara's sand and Sasuke's Amatarasu collide, and Sasuke says that he can't believe he had to use the black flames to defend himself from that attack. But when Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro, as well as the assistant that isn't healing Raikage, attack him at once, Sasuke truly unleashes the power of darkness within him -- the Double Mangekyo, and the power of Susanoo...

The chapters of this arc keep on being awesome, as Sasuke brings out the ultimate darkness within him.:o With this multi-way battle of awesomeness going on, the Kage Meeting sitting in the background, Naruto having had an encounter with Madara, Sakura going off to get Naruto after hearing that he loves her, and a strange darkness of mystery consuming Sasuke, there are a number of directions this arc could go. It'll definitely be interesting to see how all of these events come together.

Chapter 374 - Grey Wolves, Red Blood, Black Cloths, White Bones

Stark is caught completely by surprised when he suddenly gets stabbed in the back just as he's about to finish off Love and Rose. He turns around to find that the one who stabbed him was none other than Shunsui, who had finally brought out the power of his zanpakuto, Katen Kyokotsu. The fighting is then changed, as Stark is forced to go up against Shunsui. Shunsui reveals that the power of Katen Kyokotsu is to make children's games real; it makes the rules, and forces everyone in its spiritual boundries to play by those rules.

The two then engage in combat, and, upon uttering the word "grey", Shunsui slashes Stark's arm. Though it felt to Stark like his arm had been sliced off, the wound was actually shallow. He then notes that his arm is grey, and nothing about Shunsui is grey, and Shunsui had said "grey" before cutting the arm. Shunsui says that it's Stark's turn now; he explains that whatever color is said; anything that color is cut, and nothing else. Stark catches on quickly, and upon saying "white", makes a huge gash on Shunsui's back, which is covered completely by his white cloak. Shunsui says that since the color you choose can damage yourself as well, the damage inflicted is higher the more of a risk there is.

As the two continue to fight, Stark wonders why he has to fight someone so strong. He had always envied the weak, who had died just by being around him and Lilinette. Being lonely, they split their souls in two in order to escape the loneliness. He thinks that if he can't be weak himself, at least let him have someone who is as strong as he is... which is one of Stark's last thoughts before, as Shunsui says "black", he gets cut to ribbons...

Awesome chapter, as we finally get to see more of Shunsui's power. Since Shunsui said the color black, and he's entirely clad in the black kimono of a Soul Reaper (meaning there is a very high risk to himself, as a result), it definitely seems like he inflicted a major blow upon Stark. Since Stark is the Primera Espada, I'm not jumping to conclusions yet, but the suspense is certainly high...

Chapter 463 - Sasuke vs. Raikage!!

The extreme gets even more extreme, as Sasuke and Raikage clash head-on, striking at each other with Lightning StyIe attacks. When Raikage unleashes one of his most powerful physical attacks on Sasuke, the Raiger Bomb, it looks like Sasuke is done for, but he protects himself by unleashing his Mangekyo Sharingan. Upon seeing this, Raikage increases his chakras even more, on which Karin comments has reached Tailed Beast level.

Meanwhile, Naruto, Kakashi, and Yamato's meeting with Madara continues. Madara states that Naruto will have to fight Sasuke eventually, or rather, he'll do his best to make him do so. When Kakashi asks him why he is after the Tailed Beasts, Madara only says that it is to become complete; then disappears.

The intense battle reaches a whole new level as Sasuke attacks with Amatarasu. Raikage manages to dodge the first blow, but his rage gets the better of him and he sacrifices his left arm to Sasuke's Amatarasu barrier to strike a devastating blow. He then prepares to finish Sasuke off once and for all...

Not much to say about this chapter; only that it was total awesomeness and the battle has really gotten intense. I've definitely added it to my list of battles I can't wait to be animated.:D

Chapter 373 - Wolves Ain't Howl Alone

Stark unleashes what seem to be a bunch of wolf-like creatures, which immediately go on the offensive. Love and Rose both Hollowfy, and Rose releases his zanpakuto, Kinshara, in order to defend themselves. After a while of fighting, they soon find out that the wolf creatures are actually Ceros which can move freely and explode whenever they want. Stark then reveals, however, that they're actually part of his and Lilinette's soul, and this is their power; the power of Coyote Stark and Lilinette Gingerback, the Primera Espada. Just when Stark prepares to finish Love and Rose off, however, he gets stabbed from behind...

Awesome chapter, as we get to to see more of the Primera Espada's power. And it's a cliffhanger ending as Stark gets stabbed by an unknown someone...!

Pokemon Dub Episode Update

DP124 - To Thine Own Pokemon Be True!

The Pokemon Ping-Pong Tournament is close at hand, and Ash and Barry are psyched and ready to rumble. Dawn asks how the game works, and when Barry explains, she decides to enter as well, with Ambipom. While the trio are practicing, Ambipom whacks a flaming ping-pong into the hand of the current champion, O, who marvels at its display of natural talent. The tournament soon gets underway. While both Dawn and Barry make it to the next round, Ash is defeated, and "Jessilinlin" is disqualified after Meowth uses a Fury Swipes to slice the ping-pong ball in three.

O continues to be amazed at Ambipom's ping-pong skills as it and Dawn breeze through the next several rounds. Barry also makes it pretty far, but is ultimately defeated by O and his Shiftry, who then defeat Dawn and Ambipom.

After the tournament, O makes an offer to Dawn to take Ambipom with him so that he can train it to become a Ping-Pong Champion. Dawn turns down the offer at first, but when she finds Ambipom happily playing ping-pong by itself late at night, she wonders if she made the right choice. The next morning, Dawn lets Ambipom make the decision, and asks it if it would rather stay with her and continue to compete in Pokemon Contests, or go with O and be trained to become a Ping-Pong Champion. After several moments, Ambipom decides that its choice is Ping-Pong. O says that they can come and visit anytime at Vermilion City in Kanto, and after a farewell, he and Ambipom set off...

It seems pretty obvious that the writers created Pokemon Ping-Pong just to get rid of Ambipom. Not only that, Ash and comp. didn't gain anything from this experience; they only lost Ambipom. The episode did have its moments, particularly after the tournament was over, but I'll miss the two-tailed ape.:(

Naruto Shippuden Episode 126 - Twilight

After Sasuke finishes resting up, he and the rest of Team Hebi continue in their quest to track down Itachi. Kakashi and the others continue to search for Sasuke, and when Naruto senses him nearby, he rushes off on his own. He instead has an encounter with Itachi himself, however, who claims that he only wants to talk.

Back in the Hidden Leaf Village, Jiraiya reports in to Tsunade and states that he has discovered the whereabouts of the Akatsuki leader. Tsunade demands that he spill it right away, but Jiraiya bribes her to come have a drink with him and discuss it there. He says that Akatsuki's leader is apparently holed up in the Hidden Rain Village, a village that is divided in two over conflict, and also says that he's the leader of one of the two sides. That evening, Jiraiya brings up Naruto's mother and father, Kushina Uzumakiand Minato Namikaze. After some talk about them, he tells Jiraiya that he has to track down the Akatsuki leader. So after a long farewell, Jiraiya sets off...

Pretty good episode, as the encounter between Naruto and Itachi is finally shown. And now that Jiraiya has left for the Rain Village, things are bound to get even more interesting.

[color=forestgreen]Level: 43 (61%)[/color] ~ Well everyone, the much anticipated day (for me :P ) has finally arrived. One year ago to the day, I decided to become a member of TV.com. Well, it wasn't really to the day. I actually joined on September 12th, but because of the whole time-zone setup on the site, it shows that I joined on the 13th. Either way, though, I still consider today my "official" anniversary because of that.

Anyway, it really has been quite a year on TV.com for me. I've made wonderful friends here over the past year. My very first friend was Pikachu315111. Then there's crzyazn_9399, the first person to track me beforehand, and my second friend. And I remember that Seabono12 was the very first person to comment on my blog. I won't play favorites, though -- I'll just say that you, my friends, have made my experience on TV.com all the more a great one.:)

I remember how happy I was when I got my very first editorship -- for Coretta Scott King's guide. After that, I continued to get more person editorships until I achieved one of my ultimate goals of becoming a show editor when I became editor for Planet Earth. Not long after that I became editor of the awesome cIassic Tom and Jerry, which of course made me very happy as well. And of course there's my most recent editorship of Naruto Shippuden; and I think I was the happiest when I got that one.:D Besides editorships of course, I've made various other achievements over the year. I made it through 42 levels, made more than 6000 posts, contributed over 3000 submissions, made more than 70 reviews, aaand, posted almost 300 blog entries.:P

I may have told this story on my blog before, but for one thing, if I did it was months ago, and I think this day calls for it -- how I came to join TV.com. I first discovered this site back in the summer of 2008 when I was searching for a good episode guide for Pokemon. I actually had only watched less than half of the Pokemon episodes back then, but I decided that I wanted to see them all. So I first started coming to the site just to look at the Pokemon Episode Guide every now and then for reference. But the Pokemon Forum started to intrigue me, and I then became a "lurker". I originally just casually read the various posts on the forum, but as time went by I wanted to participate in the discussion more and more. So after a few months of lurking on the Pokemon Forum, I finally decided to join. And there you have it.:P

So... that basically concludes my little anniversary "speech".:P It's time for the Random Pokemon of the Day:

In concluding today's blog entry, on a more serious note, today is September 11th, the 8th Anniversary of the plane crashes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Pensylvannia. I'd just like to make a tribute to the thousands of people who lost their lives on that day. May they rest in peace. This has been pikastatic100, over & out; see ya.

[color=forestgreen]Level: 43 (46%)[/color] ~ Well everyone, today was the last day of summer for me, and many others here. Tomorrow I'll be starting high school and will officially become a Freshman. I'm nervous of course, but I'm excited at the same time.

In other news, I finally reached 3000 submissions yesterday, leaving me another 2000 to go until I become a Contributor Sensei. Heheh, yes, I'm using a different kind of emoticon. They're special Naruto ones that I thought would be fun to use in my blog. Credit goes to Colmillios.

Pokemon Dub Episode Update

DP123 - Old Rivals, New Tricks!

Anticipating the upcoming Pokemon Ping-Pong Tourmament, Ash and Barry are doing some training for it, with Dawn's Ambipom joining in, as well. While Jessie decides to use James' Mime Jr. for a new contest strategy, Dawn does some contest training herself, deciding to use Ambipom for both rounds of the Sandlestraw Contest (with Mamoswine getting more and more interested in the whole thing).

It isn't long before the contest gets underway, and Dawn, Kenny, and Jessie all make it to the second round. Once Dawn defeats Jessie in the semi-finals, she once again finds herself facing Kenny and Prinplup in the finals...

Those outfits that James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet wore in the episode sure looked a lot like the ones they wore when rooting for Ash and Pikachu to win against Lt. Surge... I wouldn't be surprised if they were, considering the fact that it's happened before.

Anyway, great episode, and Ambipom did awesome even though it lost to Prinplup. Jessie actually did pretty good in the Appeals this time, IMO, and it's amusing seeing Mamoswine get more and more interested in contests.:P

Naruto Shippuden Episode 125 - Disappearance

Following Deidara's suicidal explosion, Sasuke is nowhere to be found. Fearing the worst, Karin and Jugo rush to where he last was. Naruto and the others head in the direction of the explosion after seeing it, and upon arrival, Kakashi reveals to the rest of the group that the one battling Sasuke was Deidara. Meanwhile, Suigetsu summons Orochimaru's pet snake, Manda. The serpent is on the verge of death after Sasuke used it to shield himself from the blast, and Sasuke walks out from behind it, badly injured. After Manda utters a few curses, it dies, and Karin and Jugo arrive. The three Hebi members then take Sasuke to a place where he can recover.

Elsewhere, Pain, the leader of Akatsuki, as well as his teammate Konan, are having a meeting with a certain shadowy figure. The person, who is none other than Tobi, orders Pain to capture the Nine-Tails himself, then emerges from the shadows. Having a much deeper voice than before, Tobi declares who he really is: Madara Uchiha...

Awesome episode as always, and seeing the "official" debut of Pain was cool, as well as Konan. I particularly liked the scene at the end when Tobi reveals who he really is and teleports off.

[color=forestgreen]Level: 43 (14%)[/color] ~ Well, today is Saturday, so it's time to begin my 25th anime/manga update. Before I start, however, I have some things I want to mention beforehand. First of all, I'm sorry for not blogging in a while. I've been extremely busy this past week, and I haven't really gotten a chance to blog these past few days.

Secondly, I have a change in my schedule, so I'm once again returning to evening blogging. This most likely won't be as temporary as the previous evening blog session, though. Also, it's quite possible that my daily blogs won't really be daily anymore. I know, they've already been like that, but intervals between blogs such as this one could very likely happen more. I'll still try to do at least a couple of blogs a week, but I can't make any promises. I will definitely do my best to continue my weekly updates, however.

Anyway, I finally reached 6000 posts yesterday.:D So with that, time to start this week's updates!

Naruto Manga Update

Chapter 462 - Sasuke's Dogma

Now in the second level of his Curse Seal, Jugo charges at Raikage head-on. This leaves Sasuke and Suigetsu to deal with his two teammates. The two easily gain the advantage over the Raikage's teammates, but Raikage himself actually seems to be winning against Jugo. On top of that, the Lightning StyIe chakra that surrounds him makes it difficult for even Sasuke's Sharingan to keep up with him, and he barely gets a scratch after taking a point-blank blast attack from Jugo.

Meanwhile, Madara tells Naruto that even though what Itachi did was for Sasuke and the Leaf, Sasuke's path is still that of vengance; a cursed destiny carried down over the generations. Madara explains that it started with the Sage of the Six Paths, the founder of all ninja. He preached the way of the shinobi and attempted to bring peace to the world, but passed away before he could finish. Beforehand, he entrusted two boys with his wisdom and power. Unfortunately, he had to choose a successor on his deathbed, and his choice was the younger of the two boys. Unable to accept the dicision, the elder boy attacked the younger out of hatred. As the years went by, the decendants of the elder were called Uchiha, and those of the younger were called Senju; and the two sides continued to war with each other. Madara finishes by saying that the fire of the Senju resides within Naruto, and that he and Sasuke were chosen by fate.

The battle gets even more intense, as Sasuke takes Raikage on himself...

Wow, this chapter was awesome. Sasuke and Raikage are about to go head-to-head, and Madara basically screamed at the top of his lungs that a battle between Naruto and Sasuke is inevitable. After hearing (seeing) what he said about the Senju and the Uchiha, it seems even more likely that the inevitable Naruto vs. Sasuke battle will at least be a major part of the whole series, if not the climax of it all. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Chapter 372 - The Metal Cudgel Finger

Following Barragon's death, Love releases his zapakuto, Tengumaru, revealing that the sword's true form is a spiked metal cudgel. He then attacks Stark head-on, and a battle ensures between the two. Upon being smashed to the ground, Stark is about ready to give up, but Lilinete convinces him not to. Love then Hollowfies, and the two clash once more. It's far from over, however, as Stark summons what seems to be a large pack of wolf-like creatures...

Great chapter, as this battle between Love and Stark is looking very interesting so far. Still looking forward to when Ichigo and the others will appear again, but this battle will suffice for now.
