Digital Distribution is the future with things like On-Demand and Netflix. You just get an account and purchase your movies online and your account keeps everything organized. You than just log on to your account and pick a movie and stream it.
Wow, I can't believe some are making a big deal over this. Was anyone upset that the PS2 launched 5 years after the PS1? Would everyone have been up in arms if the PS3 wasn't delayed and launched 5 years after the PS2? Anyone angry that the 64 launched 5 years after the SNES? How about the GC 5 years after the 64? No? How about the Wii 5 years after the GC? Fanboys are so pathetic, they can never have to much to **** about.
This is old, it was posted here when it was actually new news. This is no suprise though, Sony once actually made up a film critic so that they could say good things about the movies in commercials and on posters and DVD cases. They actually used a real news paper that the critic supposely wrote for. A reporter once called them up and asked for David Manning (the made up critic) and the reply was "who"? :lol:
I can see them dropping the Arcade down to $199 and a $299 60GB. The Elite could drop down to $399 but with only 60GB being the difference would be a hard sell at 100 extra bucks, unless they make Wi-Fi standard in the Elite or bundle a game. Or they could drop the Elite down to $349 so that people would opt for that instead, which would probably have a better profit margin. They could also drop the 20GB HDD to 49.99.
