ok..... Ive got r2 .. .. and i can honestly say that it deserves the same sales as gears 2....Personally I like new innovative games rather than boring sucky games Here a list of innovations R2 has over G2

1) r2 allows players to enjoy the thrill of 600 foot tall bosses, for the first time, while gears leaves xbots with the same size enemies as in the original Wheres the improvement?

2) R2 leaves the ridiculous modern day trend of 3rd person shooters and in a wonderfully brave move brings back the first person perspective..

3) R2 doesn't come on outdated DVD media, using teh highdefintion BLUE RAY format that allows for a far richer experience .. R2 probably wouldn't even fit on 4 dvds

4) R2 uses even more of the cell broadband engines power than R1, But is still only using 15% of its theoretical power, whereas G2 maxes out the 360, because of this, its a dangerous game to put g2 in your xbox .. watch out for yet another red ring ..

5) The Cell Broadband EngineTM has the muscle and horsepower to move beyond artificial intelligence. This is the power that is the digital soul of PLAYSTATION®3. Its an awesome game, Im really glad that the sales mean that developer can continue redefining the fps genre for years to come.

Wii's going to have Wii Health, Manhunt 2, and everything in between. Consoles that are successful with the mass market have a variety of software because it is low risk for a publisher to target a niche audience on a mass platform.Iyethar

well technically yes they are, but the vast majority of the in between games are leaning far more heavily towards Wii health pack, than manhunt 2, which looks to be a lone visceral experience, in a sea of casual nonsense. 

What nintendo has done is somewhat akin to radiohead deciding to ditch their current style, and focus on duets with brittney spears with a pumping disco beat, reasoning that their current fan base isn't making them enough money.

nintendo fans should be protesting, but instead they applaud, that is totally insane. 

Gameplayer.AU argues that Wii fans could be their own worst enemy when it comes to demanding better games, likening the console to the gay son whose parents (read the Wii fanboys) are in denial.

was just lucky enough to see the beta signup news and posted my details .. seems like a lot of people who applied got in . 

This is one sony should have canned! NO single player and average graphics. Yet this was supposed to be a flagship launch title to show off Sony's supposed motion technology. Way to go Sony you screwed the pooch on this one.atarigrad
