@Soleride X just isn't old enough to replay again, not that it wasn't great. I liked X and X-2 better than XII because of the story and characters, but I do think the combat and leveling systems were improved and peaked with XII.
@user_pt It would be really nice if the FF combat were interesting again. FFXIII was the first time I skipped a FF game, and it was because of the ridiculous fully automated "press X, X, X" to win combat, which was a huge let down after the more strategic gambit system in FFXII.
I skipped the sequels so far and I won't be looking at any FF again until I hear the world raving about the combat and leveling systems. Or a FFVII remake.
@drummerdickens I noticed the escapist gave it a 7 out of 10 for starring sucky people that suck without a good reason to suck. Basically said that previous games gave the protag a reason to do the stuff he "had to do", but GTA V just has you playing as outright scumbags. So...making your point anyway.
On the other hand, how many people complained about how out of character it was to go on a rampage with the hesitant and more morally grounded Nico?
These protags just reflect the way most people actually play GTA.
I don't care about the score but this is about as epic, detailed, and flat out amazing as gaming gets. Giving the pinnacle of the generation a 9/10 does seem a little silly...but whatever.
I do have to say the attention to detail in this game is flat out insane. INSANE.
@lilflipp Escapist gave it a 7 for starring sucky people that suck with no good reason to suck. See, you should be happy Gamespot only docked it 1 point.
