@TransvormerSCol Yeah. Such a scam. They should develop enough content for four games and sell it to you for the price of one game. You want bigger better games, but you don't want it to cost more.
So if they only released the base game and never released DLC you'd be happy? Or is it just that you demand free expansions as a general rule?
Sure there are scams, but DLC also allows devs to be able to afford to make games that are bigger, and WORTH more to fans, and get around the MS and Sony fixed price point that would eventually just result in smaller games because of development costs.
Can't, or don't want to, afford it? Then waiting it out is not a bad plan, but that goes for any new release, not just DLC.
@Haeravon lol. Pachter is perfectly capable of dawning Captain Obvious' cape...that's all he did here. He's so not wrong you just have to wonder why he bothered saying it at all.
@bunchanumbers @MajinSquall @b74kd3th They won't be going away. But they'll become irrelevant and have a little tiny niche slice of the pie.
They won't be happy with that so they'll look to make big changes and they'll either work a miracle like the Wii, become a third party publisher, get acquired, or fade to obscurity.
@b74kd3th Dedicated handhelds have serious competition too now. Nintendo will die, become a third party publisher, unless they figure out how to produce advanced tech or just go cheapo like a v-tech or something.
They gotta find a new market, their bread and butter markets are drying up.
@b74kd3th i think at the end of the day a lot of "blue ocean" people got burned by the wii. tried the new motion gimmick and they're done. that crowd will be buying x1 this gen if anything. gamers will buy a ps4 or ps4 and x1. There's just nothing cool about the wii-u to sell it.
@Tiwill44 What? They just released a great Luigi game. That's non-mario for sure. When you beat the coopa at the end of a castle, toad says "I'm sorry, the princess is in another relationship". It's TOTALLY different, practically a new IP just like the guy says.
@vicsrealms Because you think the Rift does full body motion tracking or because you haven't noticed all the demos of people combining Rift and Kinect to do crazy VR stuff?
This type of thing is a big part of the future, and MS is bringing it to the mainstream. 50 years from now you can tell your grandkids that you boycotted this over $100 and a hater-fad.
For me the fact that there will be a PC Kinect is just one more reason I don't need an X1 (or a PS4). But all these simple-minded comments make me feel dumber for just being a part of this demographic.
@j_kizi The game was okay. It was that perspective and feel that gave you motion sickness that made it great. If you didn't like that, there wasn't some other secret wonder.
I thought it was mediocre, especially at the end, but I loved it for how well it did motion through those great environments. Awesome game. Oculus Rift please.
