[QUOTE="player_leo"]Whats wrong with this thread, how can people say SCC isn't out yet so it's not fair, when we get tons of threads about Forza3 vs. GT5 which is coming out even later than SCC.SolidTy
Those aren't fair either, and it was mentioned in those threads too.
At least in those cases both games weren't out yet.
Do you just want folks to say automatically UNCHARTED WINS, because that's clearly the winner right now.
Of course Uncharted wins in graphics.Only because it is out, just like Forza 3 wins over GT5.
I guess the game needed better voice actors or something, but BK: N&B is impressive inthe graphics department.
[QUOTE="TheSystemLord1"]So because you don't have to stay on the track in Gran Turismo makes it a better game? Hell, why not just remove tracks entirely and just put in 15 different straight lines with different backgrounds. This is a videogame meant to be played online; who wants to adhere to a racing line for an entire race, showing their skill along the way, only to be beaten by some idiot who decides to drive through the grass/sand/rocks/ocean in order to cut 5-10 seconds off of his time? If that is the sort of thing Gran Turismo 5 let's you do, than count me out.PandaBear86You don't "choose" to drive on grass. Sometimes the corners are sharp and some opponents get in your way, making it hard to keep on the road at all times. Gran Turismo does have grass/dirt penalties as well, but not as harsh as Forza. In Forza, driving on grass sometimes means you have to restart the race.
Seeing how GT5 doesn't come out till next year, we really don't know what the kind of penalty you get from going of track in the final game. About the physics engine, the Forza team are real good at making sure their game stays as realistic as they can. If you've ever driven a Ferrari you would know that it doesn't drive like a commercial car like a civic or something. A Ferrari is hard to control on the pavement for the average driver, on the grass you have hardly any control at all. So the physics in Forza are good.
There are 4 great race games out competing for your money. Which will you get? First up it Dirt 2, sequel to the great off-road drifting racer. Released Sept 8, received a score of 9.0. Second up is Need For Speed: Shift, another solid game in the Need For Speed franchise. Released Sept 15, received a score of 7.0. Next up is Gran Turismo PSP, the long awaited GT game on the PSP. Released Oct 1, received a score of 7.5. And finally on the list is Forza 3, the follow up to the Forza series. It will release Oct 27, hype is high and is expected to get a high score, but we won't know till it is reviewed. What a great month to be a race fan !
