I honestly think that these headsets are top of the line surround sound headset. And I am honestly looking at getting a pair. They are easily set up on xbox, pc, ps3, or basically anything else with a optical output. To answer your questions 1. Definatly worth it over the ax720, u get 4 speakers in each hear cup, 1 of which is a dedicated subwoofer, for the best bass you will find in ANY headset. These provide TRUE surround sound, not simulated like the ax720 or any other surround sound headset on the market. TB x41, Astro a40, Sennheiser, etc. are alll simulated, these are the only true surround sound headset, because the provide directional speaker drivers, like a real surround sound speaker system. The build quality is perfectly fine, they look amazing with the glossy, metalic non scratch finish, and dont listen what they say about them being poorly built and easily breakable, because they arnt, if you treat them good, they will last just fine. 2. No they dont, that is the only downfall I have noticed 3. Yes it is easy, you can set up these headsets to anything, but to utilise the full 5.1 surround sound the audio output from the xbox, pc, etc must be optical. all the optical cords are included and it comes with magnificent setup manuals. I would love a pair of these headsets, but they are so hard to find in australia, can someone tell me where to get them

definatly tritton, ax pro should be priority, but if ur on a budget, look at the ax720, but if thats still too much, if u already have a headset, just he turtlebeach dss processor to create simulated 7.1 surround sound in any headset.

If you have $300 to spend your best bet would be the Astro A40 Audio System.F0urTwenty
dont think they are worth it after a while the astro's just begin to sound like a regular stereo headset, not very unique and lack a lot of bass. i been looking at the tritton ax pro's which have a great surround sound feature.

if your gonna go for the a30's, i dont see why not go for the a40's heard a lot that the a30's are very flimsy and uncomfortable compared to others, but it all depends what u want, if you want it for just xbox, stick with turtle beach, they are specifically designed for xbox, if u want high quality surrond, go with the ax pro's, if u want versatility go with the a30's, and if u want high detail gaming go with the a40. Here is my simple review xbox only basic headset: Turtle beach x11 xbox only surround sound: Turtle beach dx-11 xbox only wireless: Turtle Beach x41 all platform surround sound: Tritton ax pro all round headset: Astro a30 all round high quality: Astro a40 It all comes down to what your limitations are: price, wires, quality, surround sound, build quality, purpose, etc

[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]Tritton>Astro>Turtle Beach. That being said Trittons and Astro are pointless on console's because 99% of console games don't support 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Digital. I recommend the Px21(turtle beaches) or the Astro A30.jshaas
You would rate Trittons better than Astros? Even though Trittons seem to be the most fragile of the three you listed. This, of course, coming from what I've seen on YouTube and read on various sites about them. Do you have experience with each of these? That's great if you do because I'm really not looking to spend $100+ on a headset and then have it fail on me.

dont listen to youtube, its full of fakers trying to sell or trash certain products, u only really will find out for yourself after you buy, honestly, you should be looking at turtlebeach, tritton or astro, they are miles infront of all the other headset brands when it comes to gaming. but if u dont like either of them, take a look at sennheiser
