Sahara? Try the movie Fool's Gold. From the advertisements I've seen, it actually looks like it ripped off Uncharted.

I remember back in the day, I rented it for the N64 for a week. 'Twas a very good time, and I have fond memories of it.

ya this update has a few good additions, but what i really want in the next firmware update is...

1) NTFS file system support for external usb hard drives

2) extended video file support, especially for streaming 4GB+ AVC and VC-1 HD video streams from a media server

3) flash support for the browser

for those of you who don't know what i am talking about with #1 and #2, currently the ps3 only supports external usb hard drives that are formatted with a FAT32 file system, and by definition, the maximum file size for such a file system is 4GB. so for example, if you have a HD video file that is over 4GB (which most are), you won't be able to play it on your ps3 via your external hdd. this is where #2 comes into play. if you can't play a 4GB+ video file via your external hdd, you can however stream the file from a media server that is compatible with the ps3 (tversity, wmp11, nero mediahome, etc). the problem with this method is that the ps3 is very touchy when it comes to what kind of video streams you can stream, and i have had limited success with transcoding.

hopefully i spoke too soon and the 2.20 firmware update will touch these issues. i'll keep my fingers crossed...

i REALLY like how ppl in the hardware forum are actually nice and give good info to ppl and do not flame them for knowing nothing

anyway, im getting a round 30 FPS in Crysis, High settings at 1680x1050, and im getting another 8800GTX for sli when it gets under $AU 300
oh and when i did the Very high "hack" for XP i got around 15-20 FPS
so im thinking if it goes from 30 to 48 FPS, i should get around 30-35 FPS on Very High

what FPS will i get at High and Very High??
in the benchmark on gamespot it said 48 FPS on High
but Very High i should get 30FPS??
also its the XP version of very highLehman

That might take a while, it's still about 700-800 right now.

[QUOTE="smeags11"]What I want to know is how PS3's oblivion got a lower score than the 360 version even though EVERY site you visit for reviews will tell you it has a smoother framerate, brighter colours MORE CONTENT and so on...MayoStar

dude am not tryin to defend gamespot but the only reason the xbox version got a 9.6 is because when i was release gs wasnt usin the grading system of 8.5 9.0 .9.5

Actually, when the PS3 version of Oblivion was released, a full year after the 360/PC version, GS was still using .1 increments for their review scores. It scored slightly lower because of the fact that it came out a year after and was essentially an older game.

Sorry, I remember everything I say no matter how redonkalous they are and what you think I said I don't remember. I'm glad you have the option to find my previous posts. If you find me saying those things you think I said then I will do what you think I said but I know I didn't say the things you think I said. Fanboy.

Seems good enough. I honestly have never heard of this brand, but its got a pretty decent contrast ratio. I'm sure it'll be fine, but just do some more researching and try to find reviews from prevoius owners. henry1989

You've never heard of ASUS?

Question.

Would the PS3 function on an arbitrary monitor resolution like that, like the 360 does, or would you be stuck in 720p?
