Gotcha. I guess everyone has there wn outlooks on the games. Im a fan of 2K and as far as the subject of this thread goes and after reading everything Id pick 2K over LIVE as well. I guess im just a fan of NBA 09.

I personally prefer NBA 2k9. I just barely recieved a copy yesterday, but the graphics are good, the dunks are amazing, and when you swish a 3-point jumper you really get that "nothing but net" accomplished feeling as it smacks the net. The sounds are realistic, the gameplay is realistic, overall i like this game alot more than the NBA live franchise.
I used to be a dedicated NBA live game player, however after playing 2k9 i will not go back to NBA live. NBA live seems to progress one year, like the previous year they introduced the new controls to do "specialized" dunks and shots. Then they took it away. Last year they also took away the ability to shorten your season from 82 games. I was pretty upset at thier backtracks, so i decided to go 2k9. Although the controls are very different and its going to take me some time to get used to it....I am already a fan.Redd_0332

NBA Live used to be my game a longggg time ago. But im over it now. 2K is a cool game. It was in the air for me on which game to get...2k or NBA 09. Ive played both and I think the graphics are close, dunks are good in both games, but I just enjoy the life mode. I wish NBA09 had a dunk contest though. That would top it off for me.

I think every game has a little something to offer. Lets just hope all 3 of these basketball games keep going at it and give us better games each year. I like a game that has strong Def. I feel like NBA 09 and Live both have good "D" I also like games that dont get to easy...Does anyone find any of these games just getting to simple and turning into blow outs?

I enjoy the story lines. I feel like the game has alot of different options. I havent played the other 09 games yet but from past years..I can say I was never to impressed. From what ive played of "The Inside" Its simple to control, not hard to learn gameplay, graphics are great, Voice over work is good 2. I have nothing to complain about.

I agrees with Popcorn. altought its far from perfect It think its a very decent efffort from Sony. Lots of options/different game modes and gameplay itself is alright. did anyone tried the online mode?

Ive checked out the online mode and I was impressed. You know how sometimes when you play online its super slow or goes through weird little pauses?? Ive only played it a few time and I didnt notice anything to much. It was smooth for the most part. You should check it out for yourself to know just what im talking about. Its sort of hard to explain just what its like.

Im yet to try all three online..but did here Live wasnt to great online

Although I agree with the guy and think NBA 09 is better than the other two..I dont know how you could say that for yourself w/out having it or played all three. Ive taken the time to check all of them out and im still sticking with NBA 09.

Its about time a game makes a change! I feel like game dnt change things up enough through the year.

I think that 2k is real strong this year, i also agree with popcorn man that NBA 09 is real good as well. I love the life mode in it. i dont think its as good a simulation as 2k but I think its a lot of fun.

Im not going to bash any of these games. Everyone will have there favorite. Thats just how it is every single year. We should feel lucky we all like basketball games so much and have 3 to pick from.

People Suggest it because they enjoy it. Its true, it is whatever your into and like. I think its alot of fun. The Life mode is great. I wish it was a little longer but other than that... its all cool.
