Seriously, you pay a premium for a console and you don't expect to be presented with a bunch of games that are all last gen experiences. It used to be the case that when you get a new console you get the latest gaming, and I just don't count the wiimote as the latest gaming. It's a step down, it just lets you do pretty much everything you could do before but with waving your arms. The result: less precision in control, more frustration, and even though they're trying to use motion sensing to progress with gaming, it didn't work for the power glove, and until the technology is a helluva lot better than it is for the wiimote, its not gonna work with that either.
A game that have HD doesn't mean it good either. I don't count HD as a new revolution in gaming. Sorry, but pretty graphics doesn't equal great game. It is only a component (like controls) that make a good game. What frustating to me is how ppl get con into thinking that a pethrea of voilent and FPS games is all that makes a great. Not saying that I don't like those type of games but damn you all mentality is the reason why developers don't develop anything different
I wouldn't mind if there were some games coming out on wii, but every game that people tell me is looking to be good coming out on wii, they just look like games. But more so, games that I could have expected to see last generation, I don't want old gaming I want new gaming and its a joke that I should pay a premium for old gaming.
Different strokes for different folks. Again you are judging a game by looks alone. Therefore you are easily wooed by FMV and not anything else that makes up the game. Also how can you call the price premium? It the lowest costing console? Quit trying to flame with that phailed logic.
I mean that is at the end of the day the prize for wii owners, new angles for last gen, that's what you get at the end of it all. After all that hype about changing the way of gaming, nintendo have blindsided its customers into forgetting about the backbone of gaming, which is computing power, and by
Blindsided huh? The way MS starts spending 1.5 billions dollars but claims the system has less that 5% failure. If any of you all believe that BS then you are truly a lemming. Back to your logic, what different about 360 than xbox other than HD. All systems and developers evolve the physics, AI, etc....everything involved with creating and developing a game. Again, you are stuck on looks and not the rest of the game. Power doesn't equal gaming experience.
Nintendo is doing really well, but that doesn't mean you should be happy to own one... at the end of the day Nintendo's grand success comes from depriving you of your advanced gaming experiences. I'm not saying the wii isn't great for a lot of people to own, but if you're a gamer the wii is useless to you.
If you were a gamer, then you would appreciate what all console offer and stop being blinded by brightness level. I've have the Wii and 360 and soon PS3, but my fav system will always be Nintendo. Those games grow on u. I've always have an open mind when playing games, thus my desire to have all 3. That's what a "true" gamer is, but a gamer nonetheless will not complain so much about a system he has really played.
I'll give it credit for the way it can do mini-games, they can be damn good... but equally if you're not already a wii-owner let me point you in the direction of newgrounds.com... if you think that kinda gaming is worth 150 dollars then go for it.
