@xcrimsonxsynx: I'm speaking from experience and I can tell you honestly HDR makes a bigger difference than you think and the quality of HDR or more specifically the WCG of your TV plays a key factor. No amount of calibrating can create extra color spectrum as well as degrees of black. I wasn't thinking it would make much of a difference but now that I own it I'm irritated that I only have one HDR input on my TV. I'm already considering an upgrade even though it's been less than one year since my purchase.
Nobody's put out a sale that I've liked in a while and I was too lazy to make an immediate purchase on the last PS4 flash sale game I wanted and missed the damn thing.
Nobody knows the trouble that I've seen, nobody knows my sorrow . . .
@rcn117: No I compared the price of a VR headset to that of a premium console. At little more than $50 difference in price between a PSVR headset and an Xbox One X console the cost over time usage is way in the Xbox One X's favor and yet people keep whining about the cost of an Xbox One X with nary a word against the cost of an over hyped under used peripheral.
The Kinect was thrown in to give an example of a peripheral that people complain is a waste of money yet it averages the same amount of time usage as the PSVR at a notably lower cost. And no I'm not counting that first month where the bulk of PSVR users excitement slowly fades as they realize that they don't like wearing a headset for hours and that they could care less about the majority of the current games for it.
Though it sounds like I'm against the PSVR that's not at all true. I'm always pro choice and without products like PSVR, Xbox One X and the people who buy them, many future products may never exist.
