turn based combat can be very addictive, as long as it doesnt get too dense (like a strategy game)

organizing your characters and items is also what makes it fun. a good storyline and soundtrack are also extremely important for me, thats why i always rather Japanese RPGs

G-Man88

So the turn based combat to some is sort of like being a general or battlefield commander? Or is it almost like a chess match so to speak? Perhaps it's both?

I think I'm starting to understand. Or am I way off?8)

I think the turn based combat is some of what turns me off with these kinda games, I bought an x-box that had Star Wars kotor and was looking forward to playing it but It had turn based combat and I was disappointed. I guess I just like putting the "hurt on" myself, Instead of selecting a move or power and watching the computer do the fighting, Maybe I just have trust issues lol.8)

well being a big rpg gamer myself, i enjoy them because i like a good story, i enjoy the gameplay, and i feel most accomplished when completing them :PSkoll_ist_Krieg

Is it also because of the length of most of these game and the items you can collect/add to your character? Also which of these rpg games do you like?

My ps2 slim is three years old and is in perfect condition. I have had other systems before but I never kept them any longer than 2 years, so I have no Idea how long they would have lasted.

Really the only system that I've owned that has broke down or not work properly was a Sega dreamcast but I bought it used, so there is no telling what the previous owner did to it or if it was just a defective model.

It sounds like a great deal, since you would pay $80 for a used fat/older model with a wired controller and no memory card, but If I were you, I would check it over and make sure everything works.

Walmart has DVD shelves for pretty cheap, they are about 4ft tall and they look good, they can hold 150 DVD cases plus there is a CD shelf that could hold about 40 standard CD cases. I only have the need for one but some one with a bigger collection could have two or three of these shelves side by side with out taking much room.

Wing commander the price of freedom, and vigilante 8. All the other good ones were already mentioned.
