and btw metal gear solid is my favourite franchise of all time , I'm buying a ps3 to play it ( along with other exclusive games ) .

If K2 bothers you then don't even look at Too Human. That game has the longest dev cycle this side of Duke Nukem, biggest game cost ever, and it still manages to look mediocre at best.

it's not about the development cycle only , actually it's the budget and the huge no. of developers working on it that confuse me , there has to be some kind of epicness related to a high budget project like this , a kind that I totally fail to notice ( actually I'm not alone in this ) ... Do you think that there is something huge about killzone 2 that hasn't been announced yet ?

I have no idea why Sony is sinking so much money into Killzone 2 it looks like a AA title at best so far (only having awesome graphics). I believe it's up to 60 million now...Flamestos

It has some nice graphics , but games like farcry2 and RE5 are multiplats and they're almost as good graphically of not better at some areas ( destructible environments , open world in farcry2 ) , and they are not costing that much , something just feels wrong about it .

blue dragon flopped hard and it wasn't good at all

lost odyssey despite being a good jrpg , it was too generic and it's battle system was so dated , it was just a typical old school jrpg

ES is coming to the ps3

and the ps3 has ffXIII , versus , and white knight chronicles .

the 360 has some other jrpgs better than what you've mentioned , IU for example
