Gears of War 2 is bad online, and even after patches is pretty awful.

Worst multiplayer game ever? I'm not sure. I think people are so upset because the first one was so much better online and the sequel seemed to get way worse.

If Gears2 had been the first game and Gears of War 1 had been the second people would have complained much less. *just an imo*

To all saying Mass Effect is only "kind of" an exclusive well so is Gears of War. (PC version)

The problem with scratched discs was shown on Watchdog last week in the UK. They set up a lab test to see what was causing it and compared a console that had scratched discs with a new one. First they put them both in a totally flat and motionless setting, and after lots of playing neither had damaged any discs. The only way they were able to get the 360 to scratch a disc was when there were sudden shocks applied to it - similar to what would be caused by someone walking very close to the table the 360 was on while it was playing. This led to the disc getting scratched in the older console, but when you saw how the test was being carried out it was pretty severe shaking that ended up causing the scratch. So if your console is not being moved it doesn't cause scratches. If it gets jolted, shaken or knocked while playing there is a good chance it will damage the disc.Avenger1324

Hate to tell you but they can scratch when not moved, my dad's Xbox for example does this.

What do you mean by version? The HDMI or the 360? If you are talking about the 360 I bought a new one it is only 3 months old.

I know it's a dumb question so sorry for being an idiot for asking but I saw an HDMI wire at gamestop for $45 and I saw one online at amazon for less than $8. Will the cheap $8 HDMI wire work for my 360? If so does it make any difference in quality? $45 seems an awful lot for just a wire. I rather buy something else with it.

I don't know alot about HDMI wires, but I know the only thing that matters with them is what "version" they are, newer versions will work with more equiptment hassle free. (I think)

Assuming you buy the right version the quality is all the same being as HDMI is a digital signal.

no, this is just what people say that are terrible at the game. trust me ive been there. once you actually learn the stradegy of the game its soo fun.

Gears of War 2 has the worst multiplayer of any game I've ever played, Xbox or otherwise.

Epic have completly got rid of sooo many combat options that existed in the first.

Want to flank? You can't because they tagged a grenade back there. Want to rush? You can't because the stopping power will nearly paralize you. Want to aim? You can't because the game has a terrible framerate.

Now they have also added a delay before you can shoot or melee after coming out or a roadie run, the game feels soooo slow and clunky it's unbelievebly horrible.

Theres no point to 1080P on the 360 anyway, it's all upscaled from 720P.

In fact for the 360 it would probably be a better idea to go 720P over 1080I, 1080I on the 360 only adds interlaced artifacts and 1080P is just upscaled 720P with no added detail.

Gears of War 2, it was a slap in the face to Gears 1 fans and has OVER 9000! Glitches.

The multiplayer was (and still is) crap and Horde mode was a rip off of what a few games had already did but the reviewers were all like "ZOMG gaiz look at this completly revolutionary feature."

God MGO and Resistance 2 use matchmaking? And I thought if I got a PS3 I might be safe from it.

At least Killzone 2 did it right.
