Ok so I've rented Bioshock, but don't see the point in buying it. Reasons?
One, while I was playing through it it didn't really grab me as amazing, which I have heard most people say about it.
Two, another reason I hear is the innovation behind it, but I wouldn't call it innovation, more like polsih on an already made concept, that could have been easily been made in a game in the previous generation.
Three was the story, but I can't comment on that since I didn't finish the game, and quite plainly, I don't plan to.
Four, people say the game was visually pleasing, but I found it hard to say it was the best graphics I had ever seen in a game.
Five, it seems like a game you can only play through once and isn't really worth your buck.
I guess it really comes down to personal opinion, but so far it seems that I'm the only one who doesn't see Bioshock as a giant leap in games, but I could be wrong about narrative as that seemed to be compelling (and plus I haven't finished it). So unless someone gives me a good reason to pick it up again, or tells me what I'm missing, I don't see myself finishing it.

Still m8 i can't see your point here. You just didn't like what you saw. Ok, your opinion. But let me give you some reasons to play the game. First the story, one of the best in video games and i don't want to say anything to ruin it. Second, the environments, they are creepy and cleverly designed, i consider them as "art". Third the intense battles on hard difficult, they make the game more challenging plus i love the feeling of fighting for my life!
