Its either a hardware problem or connection problem. Turn off your console and unhook everything (cords and any attachments such as kinect). Hook everything back up and make sure all your connections are secure. If it is still red lighting repeat the process but also remove your hard drive this time. When you put it back in make sure it is secure. If it is still red lighting i would contact microsoft. The only other thing i can tell you is that the power brick and console can get really hot and this can also cause a red light. Make sure you have adequate space for ventilation to keep the heat down.....

Exactly and if for some reason it does not renew your membership just be patient. Sometimes it does not work right away so wait an hour or two and then try to sign in to LIVE. If your membership still has not been updated contact microsoft....Presumably, you did it logged into your Xbox live account? Next time you log into that account on your xbox 360, it should sync up.

Account blocked and account deleted can be two totally different things. Need a little bit more info and i can probably help you out....
I take it you are still playing on the first generation model? Do yourself a favor and spare all the headaches. Just save some money and buy a slim model 360...
Check out King Of The Couch, Fragged Nation, GGL, Team Compete, Virgin Gaming, Competitive Gaming Association.
Those are just a few to get you started....
Different people use different settings. Hell i have a kid on my friends list that likes playing call of duty in black and white. Once you find what settings you like stick with them....
I think you ought to choose a comical gamertag. The two i have in mind are as follows.
1. HeWhoFlooPoo
2. HeWhoChewPoo
Mine did the same thing once also and my membership lasted a year and a half. I was waiting on them to terminate my gold account. So i called them about it and i had forgotten that the last time i paid to renew my membership they had a special going on. It was something like buy a year and get 18 months free or something like that....
Honestly i think it comes down to what kind of gamer you are and not so much about what games you have. I love XBox live, multiplayer and co-op games. So i always make sure my LIVE account is good to go. Now i know some players strictly enjoy single player games and they refuse to get involved with the multiplayer aspect. If you enjoy both aspects of the game equally i would say keep membership gold. If not then why waste the money when you could basically buy another game every year.....
