Well, like I said slight improvement.Though I must admit it's very slight, and like the improvement in loading times, not always noticeable on every title.

I have both a DS lite and PSP slim. If you want the pro's and con's of owninw the ds.
pro:battery life, wifi , touch screen/dualscreen, faster load times, price is a little lower than a psp, and few nintendo only titles: The Legend of Zelda: PH, Pokemon Diamond, Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy: CC, and the Mario games.
cons: friendcodes, fingerprints on glossy outsides (though the black psp suffers from this to), limited graphics compared to the psp, and no to limitedmultimedia capabilities.
There are alot of good games out, and depending on what type you like here are a few examples:
Shooters - Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Killzone: Liberation
Fighting games - Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes
Platformers -Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, Daxter
RPGs -Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Riviera: The Promised Land, Final Fantasy I, Monster Hunter Freedom 1, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (3/2008)
SRPGs- Jeanne D'arc, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions
Action - Grand Theft Auto: Liberty CityStories, Dead Head Fred, God of War: Chains of Olympus (3/2008)
Racing - Burnout Legends, Wipeout Pure
1. I never drain it completely so I can't be 100% sure. But, around 3 to 5 for games and video, and 6 to 8 for music.
2. Good.
3. Yes, it has a photo viewer. Picture formats include JPEG or TIFFs, PNGs, GIFs, and BMPs.
4. PSPs can play MP3s, ATRACs, WMAs, WAVs, and AAC-encoded song files.
