Built this system about 18month ago and have been extremely happy with it. I'm having thoughts of upgrading the video cardaround Christmas time. (Video card most likely)

Should I upgrade? or just ride this system out awhile longer and just build a whole new system in 2010? Any thoughts?

The week that RC1 came out I upgraded my 32bit Vista to RC1 on my work laptop. Everything has worked great.

1. I like the new menu system

2. I installed the Virtual PC software that coincides with RC1 and I am not disappointed with the performance.

3. My VPN client needed to be reinstalled, but worked fine after that (Cisco Anywhere client for ASA)

4. I'm running RC1 with 4gb of ram. I popped a chip out to see what it would be like at 2gb. (2gb is a minimum req in my eyes,4gb recommended, 4gb required if you plan to run virtual pc or server for any length of time)

But would I upgrade my gaming rig to RC1 ? hell no...

I've played all the major MMOs and most of the rest (and BETA on most also) and nothing still compares to orginal EQ.

Have you ever read a book that was so immersive that you actually felt like you were a part of that story?

Well EQ kicked that up a notch...they don't call it Evercrack for nothing.

I absolutely loved The Witcher "Enhanced Edition". A must have for any RPG fan.

I do agree with the person that said that the beginning of the game is hard to get used to. (There are a couple different view modes available, but the keyboard mouse mode that is almost a first person view is the best by far)

I disliked the demo and was bored in the first hour of the game, BUT once you get out of that starting zone castle the game starts to shine.

Wii seems like the perfect console fit for a PC gamer.

I wasn't expecting much in the way of graphics, since I'm used to running PC games at 1920x1200.

I picked up Mario Galaxy and Mario Smash and like them both. (along with wii sports)

My only wish for 2009 is that Nintendo loses all the text **** Why the hell can't they get some good voice actors in there?

I almost made the mistake of getting Zelda: Twilight until i noticed that it required hitting the A buttom 1 billion times to get through text.

I own most of the best PC games over the past few years and they all (well excpet Crysis) run really well at 1920x1200 on my 8800 GTS 512. Like most 8800 owners I'll be buying a new card when Diablo 3 or another must have title comes out...
