In the early 80's back when 120 and 300baud modems were king, a game called Rogue (think it was maybe called hack n slay before that?) caught my interest. It was ASCII and graphic-wise it didn't compare to my Commadore or Atari, but it was incredibly fun. After that text games like Zyll and Zork came next.....Kings Quest series was great....but out of all the games up to present time Doom and Hexen multiplayer over modem was mind blowing.

after reading more posts I completely agree with the wolfenstein and Duke Nukem :) how many countless hours did I spend on those?

Was it Heretic or Hexen where you could turn your opponent into a chicken?

Mass Effect didn't really seem too great in the beginning so I quit playing and finished COD4 (which by the way is so god damn amazing! I see now why everyone says it's too short:) and also got sucked into C&C3.

A couple days ago I picked up Mass Effect again and holy **** There were parts of the game where I felt completely immersed into the story. The graphics are amazing and once I got used to the control interface and the millions of weapons and armor upgrades I fell in love!

This is one of those RPC titles that is worth a PC upgrade.

Call of Duty 4: GREAT (just started playing)

Bioshock: Great (finished it twice)

Crysis:Good (halfway through)

Orange Box: Great, Must Have

FEAR with all Expansions: Great, Must Have

I know I am going to sound like the master of the obvious, but...

Halflife 2 episode 1 and 2 is STILL one of the best games out there :)

After building my new Rig I burned through Bioshock, Crisis, and Assassins Creed. I am going to pick up World in Conflict and COD4 VERY soon, but in the meantime I wondered how HL2 would perform with my new setup.

Holy **** What a great game to play again! I'm already sucked into it :)

How could anyone NOT own the Orange box?

Doom (before internet play you had to host a game using 3rd party software on your pc)

Castle Wolfenstein

Hexen...is there still anything more humiliating than turning your opponent into a chicken?

Farcry (twas jaw dropping graphics coupled with performance optimized code)

Bioshock - I'm on the opinion that it's a freeking work of art...

COD4

The language and bloody graphics are well represented :D

But Sex scenes?

Hrm, I dunno... maybe it's just me but I can't see how a sex scene would fit into a FPS, RTS, Action , or simulation game. Role Playing? Sure why not...

For Example: Assasins Creed

Ride your horse to the next town until it dies.

Climb a building and survey the land.

Pounce off the building onto some unsuspecting thugs.

Pump a Jerusalem Ho in he street and run from the guards.

Yea, 64bit is being pushed hard by M$, but the intelligent home and business users are dealing with it well so far.

I have several 64 bit servers cranking away as well as gaming systems.

There was nothing like everquest, and never will be again. How about the raiding challenge..Each guild getting enough people an healers into the frey...The nerves, calling your friends to come online..Hey raid time get up get over here.We need ya..Never again will i feel the way i did in everyquest. It brought selling toons for cash out on ebay..Well that might been a bad thing..Think it kind of started ,the stupid gold farming ah well..No one has time, for a hardcore game any more. They dumb these games down for kids..Sorry to say its true...Soe an wow is in a way a sad thing for mmorpgs..You say how is wow a sad thing..Well cause they dumb down, the game its not a challenge..Games are meant to be a challenge..

I completely agree.

For example... I of course began playing Wow like everyone else. Lost interest very quickly. The combonation of pvp, no dying penaly, and cartoon graphics was really annoying.

About a month later there was a RL client of mine that had a paladin with unlimited funds. He talked me into trying Wow again and gave me more cash that was possible to spend. I played for about a week and got annoyed, bored, and quit.

for gaming use, all versions of vista are created equal. I use vista at home and work and from what I can see there isn't any performance improvements over XP.

HOWEVER..I do run Vista x64 on my gaming system and wouldn't have it any other way.

So far I've been playing Crysis, Bioshock, Assasins Creed, COD4, and World of Conflict all on Max settings (except Crysis of course...High settings) without any issues.

Haven't seen anything touch above 2gb of ram or above 2 cpu cores except Aoc. Aoc rocked all 4 cores and went 3gb of ram which was a bit surprising.
