i definately think the multiplayer will last. I played the beta w/ the voucher from infamous and it (uncharted 2) was awesome. I do think that more modes would be welcome, but Uncharted 1's strength was the awesome story. So i think a lot of people will focus on that, but the multiplayer is definately promising.

[QUOTE="armyof1jjk"]

I neverplayed the other that was an MMO was it even any good? Im a FF Freak but for some reason never bought/played it

Ninja_Zombie83

I actually played it for 2 years on my PS2! It was impossible to solo unless you were a Beastmaster class. It was extreamly often to sit in one spot waiting for 2-4 hours waiting for someone to invite you to their party so you could level. Armor and enemies all look the same except for their colors. Despite all this, the game was very addicting and the community was one of the best I have ever seen. I don't think it was that big of a success in the US as it was other contries though.

I read an article that said that Square is fixing a bunch of the bugs from the earlier MMO FF game that they did. IDK how true it is. Obviously b/c the game hasn't come out yet haha.

Everybody does know that Final Fantasy 14 is gonna be an MMORPG right? and its only on the ps3. I don't know if the exclusive thing is b/c it can only run on the ps3 or if it's just b/c square enix made a deal with sony but yeah.

Actually, the trophy system is nowhere near as addictive as Gamerpoints. On the 360, I find a desire to get achievements, and I enjoy browsing my friends lists and compare what games we've played, what achievements they have done, etc. This entire experience of competitiveness is nonexistent on the trophy system. Since going PS3 gaming only, (360 broke) I have lost any desire to get any trophies unless I really love the game.

you are aware that you can compare trophies with friends and see everyone's trophies that you play with on PSN right? Just checkin.

You have to actually beat the game. Once you do that then post your thoughts on this forum. The game has an amazing ending. And i think the story is pretty far from generic.

[QUOTE="true_gamer9"]i want to buy a ps3. i really need your opinion in which i should choose, ps3 phat or ps3 slim. i don't really care about the third party os... and i heard a lot of the ps3 slim owners say that the ps3 slim is not bad if it is seen in person... 120 gb of hard drive will be come in handy for me as i don't think i will swap for another hdd for a 80 gb ps3... if the ps3 slim didn't have any serious problem with its hardware, should i buy the ps3 slim as i don't care to wait for another month?ZIMdoom

I don't get why there is any debate at all. Why would you have to wait another month? Do you not have any slims in your region yet? Because frankly, they two models are the same in terms of features and function. If you want something now, get the big PS3. If you can get the slim now then get that...itsnewer, more efficient with power, smaller, has more HDD space and yet still has all the exact same functions as the previous models. If I had to make a choice between the two sitting on the shelf, I'd easily grab a slim even though I think the fatter model is nicer looking. Who cares about looks anyway?

But if it comes down to getting the big model now or waiting for a slim...you really can't lose. Personally, I would wait for the slim because then you get a bigger HDD for the same price.

the slim was officially available september 1 and retailers had it before that so i dont think anyone is gonna have to wait at all.

Even if it follows in the footsteps of Indiana Jones style story telling and the sequels have very little to do with one another. GET THIS GAME. It's probably the best PS3 exclusive and it's definately one of the best overall presentations of a game I've ever seen. It's awesome.

P.S. - If the folks on this forum havent already convinced you then i dont know what will haha.

the concept of the game to me was awesome. A 70s style action movie game. And yes i know that sounds like stranglehold or rise to honor which were both trying to capture the essence of a chinese action flick. I haven't played the demo yet but like i said the concept is cool.
