nope, but i wonder why the slim cant support linux what doesnt it have?Javieralijandro
i think its more of sony cutting that feature than the slim lacking something. To my knowledge it has every piece of hardware but not install other OS.

[QUOTE="amsfm6"][QUOTE="funsohng"]idk, if it's actually 256 players and needs team work.... that will be hard.funsohng
Well the teamwork is among your squad, which I believe is 8 players. I don't know not in the beta.
that will ease things up a little bit, but then again, those squads have to work together, which will be a pain too, unless there's is someone like commander who is going to play the game like an RTS, giving order to his teammates or something.Well i think each squad would be tasked to a certain objective so that you wouldnt have to talk to the rest of your army to get things done.
I never disliked it. I was frustrated to hear that some people had trouble with controllers and Uncharted; although, it never happenned to me. Also I did have a few problems with freezing but it hasn't happenned in about a week (knock on wood). The update didn't bother me with the big icons. I honestly can't see why so many people hated that. And of course, the sparkles look cool.
[QUOTE="Ryu_8023"]Sega should come back to making consoles. I think they can pull it off. If they have an awesome launch tittles. Like maybe a new sonic,Shenmue,Virtual fighter,Nights, and get some other 3rd party developers like EA and activision (which some say was a huge mistake of Sega to not get EA to support the dreamcast)...hopefully this is not whishful thinking....hey while we are on the subject remember when Sega trademarked 2 names (renegade and something else) whatever happened to them?-Pred-Alien-Nights got a sequel and wasnt so great. Virtua Fighter is on PS3/360 and its fantastic. AFAIK, Shenmue was a huge bomb and Sega have since moved on.
Shenmue may have tanked when it was release, but it has since been accepted as one of the best RPGs ever and regaurded by most as a masterpiece.
Sega Vision sounds interesting, first I hear of it. Id love a new Sega conosole. When they first dropped out of hardware they were asked in an EGM interview if we'd ever see another Sega console and they said "never say never again". So it might happen but not for a very long time unfortunately.
I hate how everyone complains about currentSonic games. Thier not that bad. Sonic Adventure (part1) had all the boring gem-hunting and shooting elements that people complain about and even fishing, which is even worse yet most everyone loved SA and it had very high scores. Only Sonic games that have disappointed me are "Black Knight" (very short and quite easy) and Riders (spastic controls ruined for me).
I know everyone complains about Sonic 06 but I thought it was fine. I finished it a long time ago and my only complaint was the loading times, gameplay was fine for me and many others obviously since many people have finished it with 100% which is even harder than what I did just beating the 3 stories and Final Battle.

OK. Saying that Sonic Adventure is anything less than the best 3D sonic game(sonic the hedgehog 3 wins the 2D) is a ridiculous accusation. Furthermore, saying that Sonic the Hedgehog for the PS3 and 360 is anything but the worst sonic game ever is just wrong. The controls were fine, but movement was sporadic, the camera was off, and on the level at which i stopped playing (the burning city level) if you were off by a fraction of a centimeter when jumping onto the FIRST RAIL you died. And lives are precious in a sonic game.
on the actual topic i would love sega to get back in the hardware department. I would buy the Dreamcast 2.
Wow everyone is really split on the aesthetic appeal of the slim. I for one think it could look like a steaming pile and i'd still buy it if i didn't already have a ps3. Think about it. Blu-ray, 120gb hard drive, free wifi and online, web browsing, and not to mention that basically any USB accessory will work as long as you set it up. AND its now only $299. All i've heard that the 360 hasdone since its price cutis that its bundled with an HDMI cable now (wow thats truly amazing). I'm not hatin on the xbox; i just think that a new Halo game isnt enough anymore.
Man i dont seem to remember anyone hating this game when it launched. All the critics gave it high scores, and it was one of the 1st PS3 games I played. I would wake up early just so i could get a little farther in the campaign b4 i had to leave the house. I'd say this game is pretty awesome. Killzone 2 looked better but it also came out months or maybe even a year later and definately had a higher budget b/c Sony was pushing it so hard; not to mention it's one of the best looking FPS's ever. I have to say that Resistance 1 & 2 have a way more interesting story than Killzone. And I hope that Resistance doesn't end with the 2nd game.
I'm not sure. On one hand if Sony was trying to push the PS3 why did they make a model that had BC in the first place. But honestly I don't mind. Technology's gotten nutz lately and I think we will see some kind of software emulation in the PS store especially if the 10 year life cycle holds up. Also there are plenty of PS3 games to occupy your time until you go and buy a PS2 for 100 bucks. As consoles go thats pretty cheap, even if it is last gen.
Well its not quite the cheepest blu-ray player around but it is the best deal. Blu-ray players for around $100 have bad play back and my friend got a cheap one for his room and he said it scratches his discs. Don't know how true that is for all of the lower end ones. Like i said though best deal b/c its a blu-ray player for 300 that also plays games that are awesome. Like uncharted infamous killzone resistance and soon God of War 3.
