[QUOTE="pundog"][QUOTE="projectpat2007"][QUOTE="pundog"][QUOTE="projectpat2007"][QUOTE="pundog"]I've said it before, for a person who is not currently into PC gaming buying a PC is more expensive than buying a console. That $850 is 2x as much as I payed for my 360 and there aren't a ton of PC games that I'm interested in that aren't coming to the 360 anyway.projectpat2007
The thing is we don't pay $60 per game, pay for internet gaming.
That adds up, and that PC can burn DVD's, CD's and its harddrive is over 12 times larger than the one in your 360.
I already have a PC that can burn DVDs and CDs, it just can't play games made after 2004, so that point is moot. Also with consoles you have the option to rent games, which has saved me a ton of money over the years, more than I would have saved buying a bunch of PC games that you get one playthrough of.
So you spent more for your PC, and Xbox 360 combined than you would getting 1 thing that does it all?
Not really, its a $800 laptop from back in 2003. To play anything made after 2004 I'd still have to buy a new PC (because there is no way in hell I'm going to try and upgrade a laptop), which is going to cost significantly more than $400.PC ($860) + 25 games ($50)= $2110
Xbox 360 ($400) + 25 games ($60) + 4 years of Xbox live ($200)= $2100
About the same price, and the PC will produce better graphics, sound, and you can do whatever else you can do on your PC.
But I can sell those 360 games at a place like EB or Blockbuster, while I can't with PC games. Plus like I said before being able to rent games on my 360 has already saved me from buying some games with little or no replay value, again something I couldn't do with a PC. Not to mention the fact I'd rather have the 360 exclusive games.
