[QUOTE="pundog"]Or maybe its just a good game? I mean 9.7 and 9.4 are pretty decent scores. Unless I was wrong about trusting the guys who play video games for a living. Who knew?lionhunter

Explain how it got such a low rating for the PC.

It's the same singleplayer.

Because PC to console ports and the reverse generally suck.

I wasn't a huge fan of it, hallway crawlers don't do it for me. But to each their own.

Part of the problem with Fable (still a good game) was that it was on a console, and a last gen console at that. There was no way the original concept was going to run on a 733mhz CPU and a glorified GeForce 3. Compare that to what the 360 theoretically is capable of and I think Fable 2 will be able to pull off what Molyneux tried to do with Fable 1.

As for Molyneux's "logic" I like what he does. Even if he doesn't pull it off his games are at least making others think. No ones tried to create love the way he talks about it in a game before. Even if Fable 2 scores a 1 here at GS I bet whatever he tries to do with it will inspire someone else to make a great game.

[QUOTE="pundog"][QUOTE="TyrantDragon55"]His complaint about the auto aim is that it's there for controller users but not Keyboard/Mouse users, making the multiplayer unbalanced. The controller is essentially a hack in Halo 2.TyrantDragon55

I don't see how that works, after playing Halo 2 and 3 online there is no way a controller with autoaim would give you any advantage over keyboard and mouse unless the turned up the autoaim for the PC version.

It does when you consider that your reticle will follow a player when he's jumping, or snap over someone when you're within melee range. A skilled player could probably compensate but that doesn't mean the other player doesn't have a slight edge.

If it is the same autoaim as the one in Halo 2/3 on the Xbox/360 then the controller users are at a disadvantage, because unless you have the two single worst gamers in the history of mankind fighting eachother the Halo autoaim will not give you an advantage over kb/m.

I think the PS3 may be the lead SKU, but I think the 360 version is supposed to get some exclusive DLC. Don't quote me on any of that though, just what I remember hearing.

From hearing opinions on the game from people who have played it, it is the same auto-aim in halo 2.

I was just playing Halo 3 (same overall feel of Halo 2), and believe me there is absolutely no way a controller with the same autoaim has any advantage over kb/m, they are definitely at a disadvantage.

Well there are 3 major problems with the PS3, price, games and features:

Price: $600 is too expensive for many people, especially when the console has (at least right now) little percieved value due to the lack of games and the unneccessary BR player (it looks pretty but its not the leap foreward like DVD was). When the other two problems are fixed then price becomes less of an issue but still, being the most expensive console (by far) is not a good start.

Games: Other than Resistance and to a degree Motorstorm there is very little in terms of exclusive games out to get excited about. The 360 launched with major titles like PGR3, PDZ, Kameo and was quickly followed up by titles like Oblivion, DoA 4 and GRAW. The PS3 right now has had other than the aforementioned Resistance and Motorstorm nothing (if you wanted oblivion you'd have bought a 360 or PC), and that trend seems to be continuing into July where the questionable Lair comes out. Simply put, the PS3 is not selling as a game console, which leads to the last point...

Features: Now most people think the PS3's features are its strong point. I disagree. For one while the "cheap BR player" label has sold units, I think its turned off a number of potential buyers as well. There is very little market penetration for HDTVs, so there is no need for the jump to an HD format, as shown by the downright poor sales of both HD-DVD and BR players. Why spend $600 on the "true HD experience" when you're going to be hooking it up to a 27" 480i TV? On that note, there are a number of people (myself included) who aren't going to touch either format until ones piling up beside the betamax players at the local dump.

Also there are features like built in wireless, card readers, folding@home, free online, web browser etc. Are the cool features? Absolutely, but competely unneccessary. They sound cool and you might even use them, but they are in no way system sellers.

And you misspelled the word, well, misspelled while making fun of someone for misspelling a word.. The irony is delicious.
