I've actually just finished GTA 5 and still feel this game was ahead in some respects. I really like the simple fact that health was more readily available through various food venues for example Sanan really was so far ahead of it's time.

I'm pretty sure you're trolling but if not that's your opinion but the scores, sales and reviews speak for themselves. As a side note I would like to point out that I dont like the idea of microtrans though the industry is pushing them, it often makes gameplay unbalanced for example dead space 3 ceases to be scary if you are the baddest mofo in the game.

Bud it's a great game with a superb story that is split between three switchable characters all of which have interesting abilities and personalities. There is tons of stuff to do, one minute you could be repelling down a skyscraper to kidnap someone the next you could casually watch a film at the cinema or ride the roller coaster at the pier, skydive, race, deep sea dive plan a bank heist etc in my opinion it is a engrossing and supremely fun experience.

@houshidar Co-Signed.

I've always felt that Feedbackula better could represent varied opinions from the comments. For some reason over time I have found myself constantly drawn to the comments because amongst them are some great opinions and even constructive humor.

Leave Nick Clegg alone! Here stands a man who has dedicated his life to studying the effects that video games have on the human psychological state and in turn it's effects on society and you mock him!? Pah.

I respect her opinion and enjoyed her review but i felt some of her reasoning was misguided. GTA is the embellishment of the gangster life style whilst satirizing modern society. GTA is a game that is built upon the gangster ethos, money, power, women and is presented in a typically Hollywood fashion. The extreme caricaturing of the female figure in this game represents the real misogynist that exists within both gang and popular culture. The game have also been marked down for excessive violence, drug use and racial over tones but to take them away would destroy GTA. Instead a more diverse approach to characters would be welcome, including stronger female characters.

I'd also like to add that the insults about the reviewer, were disgusting and people need to remember that at the end of the day, opinions are subjective.

@carolynmichelle @hasleftThebuild Personally I found your reasoning for the score a little misguided due to the games other questionable aspects like racism, extreme violence and drug use. However I understand the need for stronger female characters in games and more diverse characterization in general.

I respect your opinion though and enjoyed your review.

This is an extract of what I posted on the review.

"My issue isn't with the score, but the reasoning for the score. The game is the embellishment of gangster values, money, women, power. It is misogynistic because most gangsters are misogynists. The game could have also been marked down for for racial slurs, extreme violence and drug references.
The game could definitely benefit from stronger female characters but by this virtue almost every game featuring females should be marked down.
In regards to the games politically muddled subtext in my opinion it's plain old irony and played for laughs. Gangsters discussing the state of the world before committing a crime. It's a subtext in many gangster films, 8 Mile, Boys n' the Hood, Pulp Fiction etc. It's actually a pretty overt joke"

I feel Carolyn reasoning to be somewhat misguided but her opinion isn't wrong. Opinions are subjective and everyone is entitled to one.

I'd also like to add that the personal attacks on her character were disgusting and unwarranted.

@LiquidOcelot145 I agree with most of this but would add that games in general could benefit from a more diverse character roster including stronger female characters. This inclusion should also mean equal options within the game.

My problem with feminists is that I feel a huge majority of them aren't in fact preaching gender equality but are rallying against men. The role of the male in contemporary society has changed and has become somewhat skewed and therefore confusing.

Women like bad boys but want to marry good boys

Men are chastised for hiding their emotions but are then deemed weak if they express them.

Women are supported through traumatic experiences such as abusive relationships and sexual assault. Society deems thats man should shoulder the burden or risk his masculinity etc

Hmm I'm sure my last post was instantly deleted for some reason.

Basically I can now give an informed opinion and that is that I feel that the reviewer does not understand the GTA universe. It is a satirical parody of modern society played through the eyes of a gangster. The protagonists have a typically Hollywood ethos - rags to riches by any means.
