Wow - a lot of comments, and very quickly. Let me address a few things:

About the firmware version number - In general, we don't wait to release new features based on a particular firmware update number. The 1.80 update, for example, was pretty substantial, including important features like DVD upscaling.

That said, this update does include valuable features that consumers have been asking for - such as the Remote Start functionality. Personally, I'm looking forward to using this feature as I'm frequently on the road - and I know a lot of you are too.

As far as other features many of you are calling for (such as in-game XMB) - SCE continues to evaluate opportunities to provide new functionality to PS3 on an ongoing basis. New features and functionality have continually been added to the system since it debuted, and we will continue to update you with new developments.

We do read your comments, and they have helped shaped previous updates - including this one.

opinions please?!gioiscool2

Agreed 100%. Not only this but they put out a survey about what features we would most like to see. AS IF THEY DIDNT KNOW EVERYONE FROM GAMERS TO CRITICS HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR IN GAME XMB!!!!!!

Im starting to wonder if the rumor that the ps3 doesnt have enough ram to handle this is true.

I think it was bad because it only showed how beautiful the game was and not how fun it REALLY is. I got the game from my wife for my birthday, played it and loved it to death. I think the demo didnt show what the game, and gameplay truely is. I know the demo cant show you everything being only the first level and all. There is alot more to ratchet and clank than the demo showed and if you were turned off by the demo, AT LEAST RENT IT.Upgradingand finding hidden parts on the map is where the fun is at, and the replay valueis high. After i beat it i played for another hour just trying to get the omega upgrades in challenge mode.

Very good game. I know its been said a million times before but i recommend it.

Here is the supposd reason that they gave a AAA game that score

GameSpot's Jeff Gerstmann writes

"To use the Review of the Moment as an example, when we give Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction a 7.5, we're not saying it's "average" or something. This isn't school, and a 7.5 doesn't translate to a C+. We're effectively saying that fans of these sorts of action platformers, and to an even greater extent, fans of the Ratchet series, will probably have a blast. But we're also saying that its appeal might not extend so far beyond that group due to issues mentioned in the review text."

So hey what do you think about this statement, write your oppinions about it and lets see what gamespot do

arnoldocastillo

Well ive never played a ratchet and clank game. I also havent played a platformer since mario 64. I believe ratchet is AMAZING, im not done playing yet because im trying to upgrade everything fully and get every bolt, schematic, etc. I LOVE THIS GAME AND I DIDNT LISTEN TO GAMESPOT. Hopefully everyone else has a mind of there own like me.

I logged on and checked my ranking and it said wingman and im ranked somewhere in the 14,000's out of 266,716 people. I guess i can start playing again to kick up my rank now that it means something.

P.S. the update works great!!!!
